Forte 47 GT, a fast 14.30 m aluminum dayboat with 40 m² open deck

A new Italian shipyard enters the 14-meter segment. The Forte 47 GT relies on speed and a deck that is wide open to the sea. It remains to be seen how it will stand up under sail and at anchor.

With the Forte 47 GT, Forte Yachts has created its first unit to combine speed, modular deck layout and aluminum construction, for a program geared towards fast outings and short stays.

Fast sailing with three outboards

The Forte 47 GT reaches 47 knots with three 600 hp Mercury Verado V12s. This configuration delivers dynamic behavior, with crisp acceleration and good responsiveness at the helm.

The hull, designed by Umberto Tagliavini, seeks a balance between performance and seakeeping. Tests confirm stable sailing over a wide range of conditions, with precise steering. This type of motorization corresponds to fast dayboat use, with short to medium displacements.

A cockpit transformed into a platform overlooking the sea

At anchor, the boat's appearance changes. Folding side decks extend the cockpit to around 40 m². The space between deck and sea becomes continuous.

The layout is organized around a large aft sundeck and an outdoor saloon. To port, a module with sink and induction hob extends into a bar area. To starboard, circulation remains unobstructed between the console and seating areas.

Access to the water is via a retractable gangway integrated into the transom, which can be submerged. The side platforms also serve as bathing areas, with integrated ladders.

An IPS alternative for cruising

A version equipped with Volvo Penta IPS engines is also available. Maximum speed drops to 37 knots, but range is improved and noise levels are reduced.

This configuration frees up the transom, allowing the integration of a larger hydraulic platform. The space can be used for bathing or as a tender.

Modular interior thanks to aluminum shell

Aluminum construction plays a key role in the layout. It limits the need for structural partitions, allowing freer interior organization.

The standard layout includes two cabins and two bathrooms. The owner's cabin has a separate shower area. The guest cabin offers a double berth complemented by a single bed.

High headroom and natural light from deck windows enhance onboard comfort. Storage space is distributed throughout the cabins, with closets and drawers.

A program of quick outings and short stays

The Forte 47 GT is designed for multi-purpose use. Fast daytime sailing, extended anchoring, a few nights on board. Various configurations, including a version with closed cockpit and windows, allow the program to be extended to cooler areas.
