Wayfinder 38: an 11.57-meter walkaround designed to grow with its owner

Premiering at Cannes in September 2025, the Wayfinder 38 marks Aiata's entry into the European market. This 11.57-meter Turkish boat boasts a number of assertive technical choices, notably its advanced modularity and walkaround deck layout. Here's a look at the features of this new model, designed to adapt to any program.

The Wayfinder 38 presented at Cannes 2025: a modular walkaround built to last

Designed by Turkish shipyard Aiata, the Wayfinder 38 will be exhibited for the first time at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025, in two versions: Cabin and Suntop. This 38-footer with its taut profile features a modular architecture from bow to stern, capable of adapting to the various uses of the same owner throughout the boat's life.

A 360° modular approach to yachting

The Wayfinder 38 is based on a fully configurable architecture. The shipyard's stated aim is to keep pace with changing uses without changing the boat. This modularity is embodied in elements such as :

  • reversible benches ;
  • removable or retractable tables ;
  • convertible sunbeds ;
  • the possibility of alternating between open and closed superstructures.

In practical terms, this allows the unit to be optimized for day cruising, fishing, family outings or night-time escapades. A useful approach for yachtsmen with hybrid programs, but also for dealers looking for a product that can be transposed to several markets.

A walkaround hull with comfortable proportions

At 11.57 meters long and 3.49 meters wide, the Wayfinder 38 adopts a walkaround layout that favors peripheral circulation. The tulip-shaped bow, designed to improve passage through the sea and the space available forward, allows safe, fluid circulation on deck.

This type of configuration remains rare on units under 12 meters, especially with so many possible variations in layout. The Cabin and Suntop versions also allow you to choose a level of protection to suit your climate or application.

Outboard engines up to 850 hp

Designed as an outboard motor, the Wayfinder 38 can accommodate up to 850 hp, or two or three engines depending on options. This choice confirms a performance-oriented positioning, with sustained acceleration and cruising capabilities.

The aft cockpit benefits from an uncluttered layout, with easier access to the bathing platform and improved maintenance. Outboard engines retain the advantage of greater maintenance versatility, while freeing up interior volume for storage.

Aiata: a new name backed by an established industry

The Aiata yard, based near Istanbul, belongs to the Anadolu Group, a well-known Turkish industrial player, notably through Anadolu Motor. The 10,000 m² production site is equipped with robotized lines and an integrated design office.

This industrial expertise enables streamlined production, with a focus on assembly precision and reproducibility. The choice of the name "Aiata" refers to Turkish mythology ("Ay Ata" meaning "Grandfather Moon"), a symbolic nod to the link between navigation and lunar cycles.

Design by Navia Design and Jarkko Jämsén

The Wayfinder 38 was designed by Finnish designer Jarkko Jämsén, founder of the Navia Design studio. Known for his functional, uncluttered approach, he has created a model with a strong Scandinavian style, both sober and practical.

The waterline is taut, the deck layout is fluid, and volumes are distributed to offer comfort and balance. The cabin interior features a minimalist style, with clear, functional layouts and optimized storage.
