Modern, functional architecture
With the IY 43 Veloce, Italia Yachts, a shipyard renowned primarily for its sailboats, signs its first powerboat. The Skyron studio, in collaboration with the Italia Yachts design team, has created a hull with an innovative design, while maintaining the spirit of the brand. The boat is distinguished not only by its modern lines, but also by its folding planks, a feature that increases space on board at anchor by increasing the boat's beam from 4.13 to 5.80 m, while adding an aesthetic touch.
The high, flared bow of the IY 43 Veloce increases the space below deck forward, maximizing living space. The all-teak deck is completely devoid of balconies, but fortunately features wide side decks. A large sundeck covers a huge locker, while access to the engine room is under the table seats. Forward, the two pilot and co-pilot seats face an attractive dashboard, and will be very comfortable with the large windshield protection.
A resolutely modern interior design
The interior design of the IY 43 Veloce, created in collaboration with studio Arbore & Partners, reflects a minimalist, yet very modern approach. Owners can choose between several layout configurations, with two cabins either totally open, as we discovered, or closed by bulkheads. The forward cabin has a double bed, while the mid-cabin has 2 single berths. A bathroom completes the layout. The galley is on deck only, under the hard top.
Performance and safety at sea
In terms of performance, the IY 43 Veloce can reach a top speed of 33 knots with its standard engine. As standard, it is equipped with 2 x 380 hp Volvo engines, but can also be fitted with 2 x 480 hp maximum power. An outboard version is under study. At cruising speed, the boat sails at 24 knots, with the 2 engines consuming 120 l/h.
Customization and on-board options
The IY 43 Veloce offers a wide range of customization options. Owners can choose hull and hardtop colors, as well as additional equipment such as a stabilizer, generator and air conditioning. This top-of-the-range boat is priced at ?1,100,000 inc. VAT for the basic version, and ?1,400,000 inc. VAT for the model we visited.
