Alukin Ocean Air 8 - 8 m

The Ocean Air concept uses new technology to reduce energy consumption and increase range with electric propulsion. It is a collaboration between Alukin, an aluminum boat builder and part of the Nimbus Group, Norwegian engineering company Pascal Technologies and Norwegian company Evoy. The Alukin Ocean Air 8 is based on Pascal's AirHull technology, which reduces the energy consumption of planing hulls. A fan system located at the bow is triggered automatically as the boat moves forward, filling a space under the boat with air. A slight overpressure is created between the hull and the water, reducing frictional resistance as the boat moves forward.
