A yard based in England
Arksen is a British shipyard launched in 2020 to build 65- to 85-foot expedition yachts. The 65- and 75-foot models will be built in Turkey, while the larger 85-foot model will be manufactured in England at the Southampton headquarters.
A collaboration with XO Boats for the Adventure series
While waiting for the large units, the manufacturer presented two models from its new Adventure range at Boot Düsseldorf 2023. To design the Arksen 28 and 30, respectively 8.57 m and 9 m long, the shipyard partnered with XO Boat. The Finnish shipyard, known for designing sturdy boats, designed the deep-V aluminum hulls of these first two models. The objective for Arksen is to offer robust and stable boats, with a versatile program, which can be used in all weather conditions. Through this collaboration, XO Boats deploys its models on a more "high-end" market. While the look is rugged, inspired by Land Rover cars, the interior design is well thought out and feminine, as Eleanor Briigs, marketing manager for the brand, explains. A third model, the Arksen 45, will be launched in the summer of 2023.

Rugged and rugged look, elegant interior design
Although baroudeur, these two models have elegant hull colors, contrasted by the addition of fixed fenders on the back of the sidewalls, as well as on the scroll. The superstructure, made of fiberglass, is quite low and offers a 360° view thanks to an uninterrupted glazing.
A dayboat to sail in all conditions
The Arksen 28 the smallest model in this versatile range has two reasonably sized aft platforms with a swim ladder on the port side. The small aft cockpit has a comfortable aft seat with backrest and a second seat to port. The wheelhouse is accessed by opening the sliding door to starboard. On the starboard side, there is a wetbar with a sink and an elegant saloon with a U-shaped bench, as well as a height adjustable table. The upholstery is well made, as is the wood used. The well-equipped cockpit is equipped with two wrap-around armchairs. A toilet is hidden in the port side of the double console. The access to the front cockpit is only through the passage and the central door. There is an L-shaped bench seat to port, a seat to starboard and a dining table. The interior layout contrasts with the adventurous look by offering neat finishes, such as leather-wrapped handrails, heated seats... Air conditioning and heating options are also available.

The engine planned for this model is a single outboard engine with a maximum of 450 horsepower. With a 400 horsepower engine, the version exhibited at Düsseldorf, the price is 275,000 euros.
Extend the night on board with a double bed
The Arksen 30 offers a similar cockpit configuration to its smaller brother, with two folding side seats and an aft seat with black painted posts. The wheelhouse is more spacious, with a saloon opposite on the port side, allowing for additional sleeping space. The front bench can be transformed into a co-pilot bench. As on the 28, there is a wetbar on the starboard side, as well as a spacious steering position on the bow. The console block on the port side also has a toilet with sink and shower. Unlike the 28, the Arksen 30 offers a clever double berth in the forepeak. Retractable steps provide either a bed or steps to access the foredeck and its sunbathing areas. The large central glass panel brings maximum light to the interior. Like the 28, it offers a very nice quality layout and careful finishing details.

The Arksen 30, offered as a twin-engine aircraft, is marketed at 295,000 euros with its maximum power of 500 horsepower.
