British and Swiss boaters meet at the summit
Since leaving the Canary Islands, the crew of Luna Rosa, the Pogo 12.50 of the Pretenders to the Atlantic, has come across its first yacht. It is a ketch Amel of British pensioners. They take the opportunity to get out of the closed-door situation between our 6 sailors and break down. A part of the crew put themselves in the water to join the English sailboat. In addition to trading food, the sailors share a good time and a few glasses of martini! But also fishing tips. It is also the occasion of tasty VHF exchanges.
Miracle fishing
The advice is quickly put into practice with the making of a home-made fishing line. And the success is finally there! The team members caught a beautiful king mackerel, tasted the same evening in Tahitian style. Approach to the land
Luna Rosa's journey is coming to an end. After the first contact with British yachtsmen, civilization is approaching. The sargassum also announces the proximity of the West Indies. Each one of them, in his own way, evokes his pleasure of the last moments at sea and his apprehension of the return to land.
