A modular cockpit
Although Jeanneau is not always a pioneer in innovation, the brand quickly integrates these innovations into its models once they have been tested and validated by others. Thus, the Leader 7.5 CC Series3 offers a clever, well thought-out deck plan, where each element is easy to handle.
The large bathing skirts facilitate access from the quay, but also swimming and climbing aboard. The cockpit is entered on the port side through a gate that secures the access. Three benches form a U-shaped saloon around a cockpit table. They can be easily stored in the bulwarks to save space.
The two pilot seats can be replaced by an optional leaning-post with a side-mounted refrigerator, sink and gas stove, or a clear livewell for fishing enthusiasts. Storage lockers are built into the floor in the cockpit area.
An imposing center console
The large central console is equipped with a steering position on the starboard side with navigation instruments on the dashboard. On the port side, one reaches the small double cabin equipped with a toilet hidden under the cushions on the starboard side. Although quite small, it nevertheless offers the possibility to store your belongings and even to spend a night on board with two people. This is a good argument for a 7 m boat. The cockpit can be equipped with a rigid T-Top, while a bimini or shade sails allow to protect the cockpits from the sun.
Access to the foredeck is easy around the console with sufficiently wide gangways. Handrails are present everywhere and a balcony installed on the gunwale makes it safe to move around. The height of the bulwark is impressive and creates a real sense of security, especially for children.
Sunbathing or dining area on the front beach
The forward cockpit has a bench seat in front of the console, which also has handrails to hold on to while sailing. The U-shaped bench seat has two removable backrests to stretch out facing the sea, but the seat is a little narrow in width. You can install a cockpit table or transform the space into a large sunbathing area.
We appreciate the possibility of accessing the cabin directly from the bench in front of the console. The opening allows both ventilation of the cab and quick access to the fenders if needed.
A Walkaround version
This model is also available in a Walkaround version with a decked foredeck offering a sunbathing area and a more spacious cabin, but it is in this Center Console configuration that we find this model better equipped. Regarding the engine, the 7.5 CC Series3 receives a single outboard engine with a maximum power of 300 HP.
