Small but spacious
The Leader 6.5 WA Series 3 is the little brother of the 7.5. And yet, when you put the two boats side by side, you're really surprised by how little distance there is between them. Indeed, they are the same width, but Jeanneau's design office has managed, by moving the engine and bench seat as far back as possible towards the transom, to guarantee a cockpit as spacious as that of the 7.5.

A cabin to rest in
The interest of the WA version lies in its cabin. It is spacious enough to offer 2 real beds. You can sit there without hitting your head and a chemical toilet is even available, installed between the two benches. On this type of boat, the cabin will be used as a shelter for a child's nap or as a bed for a romantic weekend. But it is also used a lot to change clothes out of sight and provide privacy in the toilet.

We appreciate the front porthole located under the console windshield. This means that you can even leave it open while sailing and continue to ventilate the cabin without the risk of spray entering the cabin.

Safety first
At Jeanneau, we build above all seaworthy boats that are not afraid to take to the sea. For example, the foredeck with its sundeck is lowered to be protected by a bulwark all around. This will be reassuring for the good father, who does not want to lose his children on the way while they are sunbathing.
Same for the bystanders. The temptation is great on this type of boat to stick the console to starboard and make only a gangway to port. For greater safety and ease of movement on board (especially without disturbing the people on the bow sundeck), the port side gangway remains in use (admittedly smaller, but sufficient for one person). Access to the bow then remains easy for the helmsman, especially when anchoring or taking up his berth.

A hull designed for comfort
The hull of a motorboat is a compromise: Very flat, it quickly heats up saving fuel, but hits the waves. With a very deep V, it hits much less, passes smoothly through the waves, but requires power to break away.
To design the hull of the Leader 6.5, Jeanneau called on Michael Peters, who found a versatile yet sporty boat shape. The engine manufacturers now offer fairly light outboards in the 150 hp (recommended power) and 200 hp (maximum power) ranges. The V at the rear of the hull is deep, making it necessary to install an extra long shaft motor, but this way the boat remains playful and above all very comfortable.

Versatile
Highly equipped as standard, the Leader 6.5 WA Series 3 wants to remain versatile. Fishing enthusiasts will find a large, uncluttered cockpit with side bench seats that fold down for direct access to the gunwale. A water-skiing roll-bar remains in place without disturbing the engine or the cockpit. A reassuring handrail helps to get out of the water on the aft deck. An electric windlass is standard on this boat. Numerous lockers ensure good storage on board..
