Exceptional convoys for the spectacular arrival of the first boats of the Nautic 2017

As every year, the first boats of the 2017 Boat Show made their entrance in the capital. A rather spectacular parade, which we invite you to discover in pictures and video.

The largest units of the 2017 Paris Boat Show - to be held from 2 to 10 December 2017, Porte de Versailles - arrived in Paris during the night of 21 to 22 November. All the convoys of boats arriving mainly from the west or south, gathered at the Champarts crossroads in Massy Palaiseau.

The convoys then passed through Paris intra-muros, accompanied by a police escort. The trucks loaded with sailboats could be seen driving through the streets of the capital under high escort, alongside Parisian cyclists and motorists. The convoys thus passed through the Pont de l'Alma, Avenue Georges V, the top of the Champs Elysée or Avenue Marceau, the Place de l'Étoile in front of the Arc de Triomphe and the Avenue de la Grande Armée before being able to go down the outer boulevards towards the Porte de Versailles.

A delicate operation since crossing Paris with boats 5 m wide, 6 m high and 25 m long is not an easy task. We could see Pen Duick III, a 17.45 m schooner, a SNSM canoe and the CNB 66. The various boats then made their way to Hall 1 of Paris Expo, where they will be installed on the various stands. Handling operations are now underway to ensure that everything will be ready on 2 December, the opening day of the show.
