Nautic 2022, the last show before a necessary overhaul

The Nautic 2022 was looking a bit gloomy, just like the weather at the moment.

Report in pictures of the Paris Boat Show. An edition marked by a cruel lack of boats on display and which saw lines of visitors queuing up to try to get on the deck of a boat.

The Nautic 2022 will remain a special edition. All exhibitors, or almost all, were talking about the burial of this annual nautical event.

And yet, this show remains a must where the profession meets in Paris to exchange, share and still dream a little.

But alas, the visitor will remain a little hungry for this edition. The sailboats that attract dreamers and lovers of wide open spaces were too few to satisfy them. In 2022 in Paris, one could visit only 7 habitable sailing ships of more than 10 m. A number too low to satisfy the visitors during the weekend.

A limited range of boats

As for the numbers, the Bateaux.com team has counted the number of boats visible at this show, which is gradually but surely shrinking with each passing edition. Were visible at Nautic 2022 :

  • 114 motorboats
  • 66 semi-rigid
  • 17 sailboats with a living area
  • 25 light sailboats
  • 2 sailing trimarans
  • 9 jets
  • 2 river boats
  • 29 kayaks
  • 9 used units

That is to say a total of 273 boats of all kinds exhibited in Hall 1. We are (very) far from the 700 boats announced by the organizer in his opening press release! Of course we did not count the paddles...

A necessarily different future in 2023

Nautic Festival announced at the opening of the show through its general manager Alain Pichavant that " in this configuration, the Nautic is not viable ". It remains to imagine the new format that will bring back exhibitors and satisfy the profession and visitors. A study in this sense must be conducted in the first quarter of 2023 to revive this meeting for yachting enthusiasts.
