The market for day cruisers over 10 meters is evolving rapidly. Owners are now looking for boats capable of handling a day trip, but also several nights on board, without sacrificing maneuverability, relaxation areas, or performance at sea. It is against this backdrop that Nimbus is introducing the Sport Tender 35, the first model in a new family called the Sport Cruiser 35. Behind this new model lies an entirely new platform, both in terms of its construction and its overall layout.
A new platform designed for three models
The Sport Tender 35 is not just a new boat in the Nimbus lineup. It marks the debut of a shared platform that will also be used for the future Sport Weekender and Sport Coupé models. All three models will share the same hull, measuring 10.80 m in overall length and 3.20 m in width.

This approach allows the shipyard to develop several yacht models based on the same architectural design, while adapting the superstructures to their intended uses. The Sport Tender is thus the most open version of this new generation.
For several decades, Nimbus has been developing its product lines based on a philosophy that prioritizes ease of use and versatility over specialization. This new series continues that approach by offering a boat designed for both coastal outings and cruises lasting a few days.
A layout designed to make maneuvering and life at anchor easier

The main change concerns the layout of the decks. Nimbus has optimized movement between the bow, the cockpit, and the aft deck to minimize obstacles.
At the bow, the gangways lead to an area that serves two purposes. During mooring maneuvers, the large non-slip surfaces make it easier for the crew to move around. Once at anchor, this space transforms into a sun deck thanks to two platforms approximately two meters wide.

The cockpit features a large U-shaped bench seat that can accommodate six people. Its adjustable backrest allows for several configurations, including a lounge area, a sun deck, or seating facing the side balconies. These balconies open electrically to increase the available space at anchor and bring the crew closer to the sea.

Nimbus has also divided the galley into two separate sections to keep the central passageway clear, even when the canvas side covers are installed. The 65-liter refrigerator is located in the cockpit, while a second, 70-liter model is available as an option.
An all-new hull design based on a double step
Below the waterline, the Sport Tender 35 features a new double-step hull with air lubrication. Nimbus has been developing stepped hulls since the launch of the Nova series in the early 2000s. This new generation builds on that design, incorporating revised geometry with a slimmer bow and a more pronounced V-shape at the stern.

The construction process involves vacuum infusion around a Divinycell foam core. This structural sandwich design is intended to reduce weight while increasing the overall rigidity of the hull. The shipyard also notes that the structure connecting the cockpit to the roof is made from a single laminated piece to improve the overall rigidity of the assembly.
In terms of performance, Nimbus reports a cruising speed of between 30 and 36 knots, depending on the engine configuration. The top speed exceeds 40 knots and reaches approximately 45 knots with two 300-horsepower Mercury V8 engines. These figures will be confirmed after official testing.
Two cabins to expand the sailing program
Unlike many day boats in this category, the Sport Tender 35 offers genuine sleeping accommodations. The interior features a forward cabin with a double berth, a midship cabin equipped with two berths, and a bench seat that can accommodate a fifth sleeper. The bathroom features a marine toilet, a sink, and a separate shower.

This design makes it possible to plan multi-day cruises while still maintaining a spacious cockpit for outdoor activities.
Storage space has not been overlooked. The storage compartments extend all the way to the bow and can accommodate everything from anchoring gear to fishing rods and the poles for the sprayhood. Owners who enjoy fishing can even install a livewell in the port aft compartment.
A full range of features even in the standard version
The Sport Tender 35 comes standard with a 350-horsepower Mercury Verado V10. A 425-horsepower V10 version and a twin-engine configuration featuring two 300-horsepower Mercury V8 engines are also available.
The fuel tank holds 620 liters, while the fresh water and wastewater capacities are 80 liters each.
Standard equipment includes a bow thruster, Zipwake automatic trim control, a 9-inch Simrad NSX chartplotter, electric side platforms, a T-top with an acrylic roof, an electric toilet, a cockpit shower, full LED lighting, and the Nimbus Connect interface.
Key options include an electric windlass, diesel heating, air conditioning, lithium batteries, solar panels, radar, a VHF radio, a gyroscopic stabilizer, and a high-performance audio system.
Nimbus continues to expand its line of speedboats
Founded in 1968, the Swedish shipyard continues to refresh its lineup with this new 35-foot platform. Following the launch of the 495 Flybridge, named European Powerboat of the Year 2025, the manufacturer is expanding its offerings in the mid-size liveaboard motorboat segment.
The Sport Tender 35 will be unveiled to the public at the Cannes Yachting Festival, to be held in September 2026. The first images released are still digital renderings. Sea trials, final photographs, and pricing will be announced at a later date.
