In our 4-part test, we take in hand the 4XC Design HA27, a semi-rigid born of the collaboration between Honda Marine and the Italian shipyard Altamarea. At 8.45 m in length, this model combines Mediterranean style, reliable motorization and a deck layout designed for life on board.

A 4-part test of the Honda 4XC Design HA27

The first part looks back at the genesis of the project, the Honda-Altamarea partnership and the philosophy guiding the 4XC Design range. The emphasis is on versatility, safety and ease of use for coastal and lagoon outings.

The second section explores the deck layout and fittings. From the 2-meter-square, modular sundeck forward to the integrated galley and shower-equipped bathing platform, each area is analyzed in detail.

The third section relates a dynamic test carried out on the Etang de Thau, in sustained Tramontane conditions. The responsiveness of the Honda BF 250 V6, the stability of the Altamarea hull and cruising fuel consumption are all scrutinized.

Finally, the fourth section looks at pricing. Priced from 75,999 Âeuros with a Honda BF 250 hp engine, the HA27 competes with well-established models such as the Capelli Tempest 800, the Joker Boat Clubman 28, the Zodiac Medline 9, the BWA Sport 28 GT and the Nuova Jolly Prince 27.
