RemigoOne Neo: a compact electric outboard with built-in boost mode

Slovenian manufacturer Remigo unveils a new version of its electric outboard motor. More powerful and featuring new functions, the RemigoOne Neo is designed for dinghies, dinghies and small pleasure boats up to 1.5 tons.

Slovenian marine propulsion manufacturer Remigo expands its range with the launch of the RemigoOne Neo, a direct evolution of the RemigoOne electric motor presented in 2021. This first model had already attracted attention by receiving a "Special Mention" at the DAME Design Award 2021, underlining the quality of its compact design.

A boost mode to take things to the next level

The RemigoOne Neo features a boost mode that delivers up to 1,500 W of power, the equivalent of a 4-hp outboard. This extra power can be maintained for 60 seconds, before automatically returning to the cruising speed of 1,000 W. The user can immediately restart the boost mode by pressing the forward control again. According to Marko Vrtovec, CEO of Remigo, this function " gives skippers extra speed when they need it, without wasting battery power the rest of the time ".

Lightweight construction and integrated battery

The motor is built around an aluminum monocoque block, with an integrated 1,085 Wh battery. The total weight, including battery, is 15.5 kg, making it one of the lightest models in its class. When the on-board mounting bracket is removed, the weight drops to 13 kg. The RemigoOne Neo is designed to power pleasure craft up to 1.5 tons, in particular tenders and small touring sailboats.

Technical improvements and ordering options

The propeller has been redesigned to reduce noise and improve efficiency. It also offers several control configurations, with a choice between a hand-held remote control and a tiller-mounted version.

The battery can be recharged in around 3 hours using the optional quick charger. The system can also be powered by solar panels or an external battery, offering interesting flexibility for sailors who prefer energy autonomy.

Distributed in France by Plastimo, this boosted version is priced at ?2,880 incl. VAT.
