Zodiac X10CC deck layout: plenty of space and modularity for a 10m unit

Available in several versions, the X10 CC's layouts are modular enough to adapt to a maximum number of programs. Wishful thinking? No, the deck layout is a success and one of the strong points of this new Zodiac.

Adapting to US requirements

To appeal to American customers, Zodiac offers a range of layout options, focusing mainly on aft cockpit options.

The t-top is standard on the American market and optional in France. For a fishing program, the cockpit can be fitted with a livewell in place of the rear bench seat, as well as some twenty rod holders.

Another requirement of the US market is the ability to store a very large cooler, as North American yachtsmen are fond of this equipment, which they use to transport on-board supplies. A space is provided for this purpose below the galley.

But if sport fishing isn't on your agenda, the aft cockpit can be fitted with two bench seats and a table, which can be converted into a large sunbathing area.

There are numerous storage compartments, including a large central hold for the liferaft. Further forward, a galley is located just behind the three cockpit seats.

A smooth ride on Zodiac's first walkaround

Aboard this first "Console Centrale" from the French shipyard, it's easy to get around. Gangways to the foredeck are wide and deep. A large number of handrails along the bulwark, on the console and on the coachroof ensure ease of movement.

Non-slip EVA patches are fitted in the appropriate places to ensure safe boarding in the event of longside mooring.

The foredeck offers excellent facilities for the crew. On a rather small surface, there's a large sunbathing area for two, set up in front of the steering console.

Two meridiennes make up the forward saloon, which can be transformed into a sunbathing area, or into a deck saloon with the addition of a small table. Here again, there are numerous storage compartments under the bench seats.

Finally, the two living areas can be protected from the sun by two optional biminis, whose poles are installed in the freeboard.

A beautiful double cabin

The cabin is accessed via a sliding door to the left of the cockpit. There's a generously-sized double berth and a separate toilet. This is not equipped with a shower, which is installed on deck with an 80-liter tank.

To the left of the companionway is a large electrical panel, well positioned and easy to read.

This space is ventilated by two opening portholes on either side of the console.
