Alium Yachts is a young French company created with the aim of producing elegant, seaworthy and environmentally-friendly boats. The company was founded by Alexandre Louvier, widely recognized in the French boating world, Christian Desbois, a charter specialist, and Alain Dutoit, an industrial with 25 years' experience behind him.

Although their backgrounds may differ, these three share a common passion: boating.
Meta, a renowned industrial partner
To bring this project to fruition, Alium Yachts has chosen Meta as its industrial partner. For sailboat enthusiasts, Meta is a widely recognized shipyard, having been building aluminum boats for over 60 years. The company has made a name for itself by building the boats of Bernard Moitessier, Philippe Poupon, Antoine and many others, and has produced over 400 yachts since 1963.

Their Strongall production principle is based on the assembly of pre-stressed aluminum boats, making them strong, light and environmentally friendly, since aluminum is recyclable.
A highly customizable concept
The Alium 42 S, the first boat in the family, benefits from this expertise. In terms of design, Alium Yachts has called on Valentin Design, a young studio that was named Young Designer of the Year 2020 by Boat International. A team with a wealth of skills, exactly what was needed to meet this challenge and bring this ambitious project to fruition.

The choice of aluminum is of course due to its ecological aspect - it's recyclable - and the fact that it's a solid material, but also because this type of construction allows great flexibility. In concrete terms, Alium offers a high degree of customization, but this also enables the shipyard to offer several versions of the boat. The 42 is available in an S (sport open) version, a futuristic SC (sport coupé) version and a T-Top version to suit every taste.
