Based on a proven design, the Piuma 600 has a number of assets to welcome its crew. In this 2nd installment, we take a look at the deck layout and fittings.

Easy circulation

This small open hull has a relatively low freeboard, which gives it an attractive silhouette, while facilitating boarding from a catway or small quay. Access to the hull is from the stern, via a fairly wide opening for an open hull of only 6m. A small swim ladder is attached to the port platform.

All the upholstery on our test model was coffee-colored, which blends in nicely with the immaculate white hull. The rear bench seat accommodates two passengers, and is quite comfortable.

A cockpit that puts the pilot in the driver's seat

The cockpit has a reversible backrest, suitable for both angler and pilot, depending on the program. Only the pilot can sit on this seat, or two people of lighter build.

With the console centered, you can move the boat to either side. The sturdy T-Top provides a good grip for navigation, as does the bow pulpit.

The two side decks are equipped with storage compartments, which can be used as large pockets or as places for mooring lines. In front of the console, a passenger will be able to sit on a small seat, but will be short of space if the t-top option is not chosen.

Sunbathing before

At the bow, the sundeck of this small open hull is rather large for its class, measuring 1.7m by 1.8m. The upholstery is pleasant and well-made. The unit opens almost completely to reveal a very large trunk supported by two jacks.

The volume of this lockable storage space is sufficient to store all safety equipment, anchor toys and other equipment.

At the very front, the anchor locker is small, but sufficient to store a sufficiently long anchor. A discreet stainless steel davit completes the anchoring equipment
