A new propeller for extreme top speed performance
Mercury Racing took advantage of the opening of the Miami International Boat Show 2025 to present its new propeller model, the Altitude. Designed for outboard-powered hulls up to over 145 km/h this propeller optimizes top speed while guaranteeing good handling at low revs and efficient lift-off.
Precision CNC design
The Altitude is entirely CNC machined, using the same 5-axis technology as Mercury Racing's Cleaver solid hub propellers. This approach guarantees reduced manufacturing tolerances and enhanced hydrodynamic efficiency.
Modularity and customization of lift
With the Altitude, Mercury Racing introduces a unique modular system for adjusting lift at the rear of the boat. Four barrel lengths are available to order: 0", 1", 2" and 3". This feature allows racers to fine-tune their settings to optimize performance according to hull type and sailing conditions.
Altitude technical specifications
This 5-blade propeller features splines cut to fit 1.25" (250-450 hp) and 1.50" (500 hp) propeller shafts. The Altitude is available with a blade angle of 18 degrees for 26" to 28" pitches, and 15 degrees for 30" to 35" pitches. It is also available in left- and right-rotation versions, offering flexibility for twin-engine set-ups.
Availability and marketing
Each Altitude propeller will come with its own carrying case, also available for purchase from Mercury Racing distributors. Sales will begin on March 1, 2025. This new propeller model is aimed at racers and lovers of high speed on the water, offering a unique combination of precision, customization and performance.
