The cockpit, the heart of the Lagoon 60
Lagoon has unveiled the first visuals of its next sailing catamaran model. This is the Lagoon 60 with an overall length of 18.27 m, the largest of its production models. This VPLP design fits between the Lagoon 55 and the Sixty 5 which introduces the range of large units. All attention is focused on the large aft cockpit, intended by the shipyard to be the heart of the boat. Access from the skirts is via angled steps. A movable bathing platform and tilting aft bulwarks extend the living and relaxation space. The saloon with its dining table is well protected by the coachroof.
A staircase leads to the flybridge, where the manoeuvring areas are also located. The mast, which supports 239 m2 of upwind sail area, has been moved forward for better balance.
The forward cockpit, dedicated to relaxation, is accessible either from the wide side decks, or directly from the interior saloon, via a door on the bow that facilitates circulation on board. A large trampoline completes the cockpit.
A luminous square offering two kitchen configurations
Inside, the saloon is bright and directly connected to the cockpit. It is available in two versions: a galley version or a bar version, with the galley in one of the hulls.
The space is warm and inviting, with several living areas such as a sitting area, a dining area and a card table.
Sleeps 8 to 14
The hulls are spacious and offer several cabin configurations, from four to five. In the first, the galley is located below deck, while in the second, the cabin is integrated into the saloon. In both configurations, the large owner's cabin is located in the starboard hull, with its own private bathroom. Double or twin cabins are available, while the two forward peaks are dedicated to the skipper. In all, the Lagoon 60 can sleep from 8 to 14 people. This configuration is equally suited to a family or charter program.
