Superhawk 55, an iconic model updated by Sunseeker

The Superhawk 55 is Sunseeker's new motoryacht and part of the Performance range. The British manufacturer has reinvented an iconic open-top dayboat from the 90s with a new classic and sporty design with modern elements and many innovative details.

The revival of an iconic line

In the 1990s, Sunseeker launched the Superhawk range of open-top dayboats, i.e. with a roll bar extended by a small t-top. In 2022, the British manufacturer relaunched the iconic range with a new, much more modern model that features a lot of glass, especially on the hull. The Superhawk is equipped with a pair of Volvo Penta D11 euros IPS 950 for a maximum speed of 38 knots.

A modular layout on the foredeck and in the cockpit

The front deck features a generous bench seat with a full-length sundeck, which slides forward to deploy a table and create a full seating area with storage and cargo carrying.

The aft cockpit has a large central bar with all the kitchen equipment (stove, sink, refrigerator, worktop) and an optional waterproof TV hidden in the cabinet. Owners can choose many furniture configuration options to make the most of the space. There are two removable L-shaped bench seats that can be moved around the table, which also expands to seat up to 12 people, and a rear sun lounger for three. Under the latter, a sliding drawer houses six storage compartments for nautical equipment. Finally, the hydraulic bathing platform lowers completely into the water to reveal the entrance to the dinghy garage (capable of accommodating a Williams 325 jet-tender and Seabobs), and to launch the inflatable directly using a lever system.

Easier circulation on the same bridge

The starboard cockpit has 3 pilot seats, protected by a 5 m2 curved double windshield with a stainless steel post, offering an uninterrupted view. New for the brand, the Superhawk 55 is equipped with a semi-openable hardtop, which allows you to enjoy the sun or the shade. Movement on board is on a flush deck and easily accessible from the two side doors on slides in the cockpit. Access to the interior of the boat is also from a starboard companionway.

The shipyard has gone into great detail, notably with a "Union Jack" shaped lighting system that runs from the cockpit to the front and back of the boat.

Two comfortable cabins

inside, we arrive in a small lounge with kitchen made very bright thanks to the superstructure glazing, but also to the glass deck panel of the roof (which can be shaded if necessary). Here the shipyard has chosen wood and lacquer as materials. A television is hidden in the kitchen cabinet and slides up and down.
