Marex 390: a cruiser designed for a long family program
Designed to bridge the gap between the 330 and 440 models, the Marex 390 is aimed at coastal cruisers looking for a livable powerboat suitable for extended family use. The emphasis is on versatility of space, with fluid indoor-outdoor circulation that can be adjusted according to weather conditions.

A variable-geometry hull for efficient sailing
The 390's design is based on a variable-V hull, optimized by Alpha Engineering. This geometry improves stability at cruising speed and absorbs shocks in heavy seas. Long, continuous portholes in the hull modernize the silhouette without compromising the structure.

Organization of the bridge: priority to functionality
The aft deck features bench seating on the bathing platform, which also doubles as a technical locker. Access to the cockpit is secured by a retractable glass door. On the foredeck, the anchor locker incorporates a retractable davit and a sundeck that can be converted into a floating mattress. Marex's unique Smart Canopy system allows the cockpit to be opened and closed in seconds.

Interior modularity: convertible living areas
The interior layout is based on a clear division between social areas and cabins. The main saloon, equipped with a reversible backrest, can be fully opened onto the cockpit thanks to a sliding bay and retractable window. The folding table and reversible co-pilot's seat allow the space to be modulated according to need: dining, sailing, or telecommuting. The whole space benefits from excellent natural ventilation.

A kitchen layout optimized for independence
The L-shaped galley, positioned on the port side, features overhead storage and two combined fridge-freezer drawers. The induction hob, combined with a generator, coexists with a gas alternative. An oven is available as an option. Solar panels on the roof provide power for both dockside and moored equipment.

Two comfortable cabins for extended stays
The forward and middle cabins feature oversized double beds with high-quality mattresses. The aft cabin features a chaise longue convertible into a children's bed. Natural lighting is provided by large portholes and deck hatches. The bathroom includes a separate shower with separate drainage system, ideal for extended cruising.

Propulsion, maneuvering and energy management
The Marex 390 is available with three inboard diesel engines: twin-engine base-mounted (2x320 or 2x380 hp) or single-engine shaft-mounted (480 hp). The 870-liter fuel tank and 590-liter water tank provide ample autonomy. Side access to the gangway facilitates maneuvering, especially with reduced crews. A 60-liter hot water tank completes the technical equipment.

With this model, Marex confirms its expertise in the design of family-oriented cruisers, offering navigation adapted to summer cruising without compromising on comfort. The changes made to the 390 reflect Marex's determination to meet the practical needs of modern yachtsmen. It remains to be seen, during the first sea trials, whether the optimized hull and innovative layout will live up to their promises in real-life situations.
