Hybris-Line, Sealver's range of outboard RIBs is growing

The French manufacturer Sealver specialized in boats powered by jet-skis, whether rigid or semi-rigid hulls. From now on, it offers a range of tires powered only by outboards. Discover the two new models.

Jet-ski or thermal propulsion

Previously powered only by jet skis, Sealver's Wave Boat range is expanding. The Landes shipyard is entering the outboard RIB market by offering an alternative propulsion system on its three 6, 7 and 8 m models. Thus, the customer can now choose between a jet propulsion - the Hevo range - or an outboard propulsion - the Hybris range. However, it will not be possible to swap the two modules during the life of the boat.

Thus, the front deck remains the same for all models and it is the central and rear part that changes according to the model chosen.

Two new models for the Hybris range

In addition to this new propulsion system, Sealver is also launching two new models - the Z6 and Z7 Hybris - which complete the range of outboard RIBs, after the Z8 Hybris launched two years ago. These models are based on the hull of the Evo range, also launched two years ago and built in polyester in Sanguinet. The hypalon 1670 DTex floats - manufactured in Italy and assembled in France - give the boats a dynamic look with a larger diameter at the stern - 48 cm - than at the bow - 28 cm. Unlike traditional RIBs, these boats are clearly above the water, and hardly come into contact with it, except when turning. Another characteristic of Sealver RIBs is the large beam, which allows for a generous foredeck, with a huge sundeck flush with the floats on the largest model. The Z7 is 3.10 m wide and the Z6 is 3 m wide! Another important point is that the low profile of the stern allows the deck to be almost flush with the water.

However, once the floats have been deflated, the boats can be transported at road gauge.

The Z6 and Z7 Hybris have essentially the same deck layout, except on the foredeck, where the smaller model offers a U-shaped bench seat, which may soon be replaced by a sunbed, as on the other models. The console is central on both models. It is spacious in both cases and has a mini windscreen. The driver's seat is comfortable with a high backrest, and will soon be adapted with a double seat to get a little closer to the steering wheel, the distance being a little too great for the moment.

At the stern, three bench seats with backrests form a U-shaped saloon for comfortable sailing. At the stern, the bathing skirts are quite small for access to the sea.

Quality boats

The Hybris range as a whole shows a good quality of construction and finishing, whether it is for the upholstery, the floats or the layout. For example, the floats have a floor covering insert so that you can move around without slipping. There is plenty of storage space, including lockers under the seats. Several options are also available such as a wake tower or a T-Top.

For the engine, the shipyard has a privileged partnership with Mercury. For the Z6, the shipyard recommends an outboard of 130 to 200 hp and for the Z7, from 150 to 250 hp with a maximum speed of 41 knots.
