Ryck 280, first model of the new brand Ryck of the HanseYachts group

Ryck 280

HanseYachts AG, owner of the Sealine and Fjord powerboat brands, is diversifying its powerboat range with the launch of a new brand: Ryck Yachts. The first model, the Ryck 280, is a 28-foot (8.5 m) sporty open hull with a cabin to extend your stay for a weekend.

A sporty range for a weekend at sea

The Ryck 280 is the first model of the new Ryck Yachts brand, part of the HanseYachts group. The name of this range comes from the river that runs through Greifswald, Germany, and connects the production site to the Baltic Sea. Unlike the spacious Sealine and Fjord models, this open hull is designed to be sporty and capable of accommodating weekenders. The design was entrusted to Bill Dixon, who is already responsible for some of the models in the Sealine range.

The step hull should ensure comfortable driving conditions. It is embellished with an inverted bow that gives it a modern look.

A walkaround deck plan for easy circulation

The walkaround deck plan offers 25 cm wide side decks, a high bulwark at the front, and a guardrail for safety. The cockpit is totally open to the sea. At the rear, the standard L-shaped bench seat can be equipped with a table, a refrigerator and a wetbar including a grill or a cooking plate.

Options to expand on-board activities

The backrest of the bench seat folds down to create a second lounge area that complements the sunbathing area on the front deck. With the T-Top and two additional awnings, the entire deck area can be fully shaded. Optional rod holders and a water ski tow pole expand the range of activities on board. The two rear bathing skirts that flank the engine offer a bathing ladder and a deck shower (hot and cold water) for swimming. Finally, a dolphin boat with electric windlass ensures easy anchoring.

Several choices of motorization

The console is protected by an elegant windscreen, while the two-person cockpit has a large instrument panel with two 12-inch screens. The Ryck 280 can be powered by a single-engine Mercury Verado with 250, 300 or 350 hp.

A cabin for sleeping or storing

Below deck, the owner can opt for a furnished cabin with a double bed or storage space. A separate bathroom is standard. Light is provided by the roof windows, which also guarantee good ventilation. Numerous layout alternatives can be configured directly on the brand's website, and enhanced with options.
