Bayliner has decided to expand its Cruiser range with the Ciera 10, a 9.50 m sundeck, the second and largest model in the range after the Ciera 8 (8.15 m). The new model is based on the same design with its hull high on the water for maximum interior space, its large sundeck at the bow and its open cockpit. An ideal model for small family cruising with its very open and well-equipped cockpit and its two double berths.

The deck layout of the Ciera 10 has been revised with a central passage to access the front of the cockpit. There is now a real fixed saloon to starboard with a U-shaped bench seat and a cockpit table. At the stern a bench seat faces the sea. Its backrest tilts aft to transform the dining area into a large sundeck, with the table lowered and covered with a cushion.

The galley on the port side of the Ciera 8 has now been replaced by a grill at the aft end of the cockpit, which can be used at anchor or in port from the bathing platform. The latter covers the two sterndrive bases, while providing good access to the sea. A wicket gate secures access to the cockpit, allowing safe sailing, a family plus. The roll-bar (already fitted on the Ciera 8) will allow the installation of a protective bimini covering the cockpit.

On the port side, a bench seat aft facing the saloon and a sun lounger forward completes the set of comfort features. The cockpit is installed on the starboard side with a double bench seat (the end of the seat folds down) for sit/stand steering. The instrument console is large enough to accommodate all the navigation instruments, the steering wheel is located at the right height and the throttle is easily accessible. A large windscreen with a central opening surrounds the cockpit and allows access to the foredeck, covered with a large sundeck, by climbing a staircase integrated into the cabin door.

This deep and secure cockpit is ideal for family sailing. Handrails make it safe to move around or sunbathe while sailing, especially on the foredeck.

Below deck, the Ciera 10 will have 2 double berths (one forward and a mid-cabin in the centre), a bathroom with shower, a small galley and a small saloon. Four portholes and two deck portholes provide light and ventilation inside the boat. With a large hull volume, the headroom is important and the layout makes it possible to envisage small family cruising. However, you will have to wait until spring to discover the final version of the interior layout.

The Ciera 10 is powered by two inboard sterndrive engines with a maximum of 520 hp (2x260 hp) but will be content with 2x250 hp as standard. Hull colours are customisable as is the waterline ribbon. With this new deck layout, the Ciera 10 gains in comfort with easier movement on board. You will have to wait until May 2018 to discover the boat in the water.
