Rendez-vous at the Cannes Yachting Festival from 12 to 19 September 2017

The Yachting Festival will open its doors from 12 to 19 September 2017 and will open the 2017/2018 nautical season. For this anniversary edition - 40 years of existence - the show is building on its success: many world firsts, French and international shipyards, large units, a varied offer, but also the presence of skipper Armel le Cléac'h on 12 and 13 September.

A varied offer

From 12 to 17 September, the two ports of Cannes - the Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto - will welcome 630 boats from 2.10 to 52 m, mostly afloat. There will be something for everyone, from yachts over 20 m to sailing boats, from semi-rigid to smaller motor boats, from monohulls to multihulls, from new to second-hand boats, not to mention many equipment manufacturers, architects, banks and insurance companies or accessories manufacturers. The land-based spaces are dedicated to engine manufacturers, equipment manufacturers and service companies.

All the major French and international shipyards will be present in Cannes to present their latest innovations and flagship models. Major prestigious brands will be present alongside manufacturers on a more human scale. 60% of the 530 exhibitors come from abroad. To admire the largest units installed in Port Pierre Canto, visitors can use the maritime shuttles provided by the show.

Nearly 51,000 visitors are expected to visit the quays of Cannes to discover the latest innovations and the boats that will make the season. Almost half of them come from abroad, especially from Italy, very close to Cannes.

News and sea trials

Around 100 units will be presented as a world premiere. By 2016, the show had hosted 191 previews, including 107 world premieres. Sea trials allow future owners or curious boaters to test the units in Cannes Bay. 80% of the boats have the possibilité? to leave the port during the show.

Elegance competition in the bay of Cannes

For the 3rd consecutive year, the Yachting Festival will organise the Elegance Contest, a défilé? of vintage and contemporary boats, reserved for owners or collectors of motorboats and day boats under 12 metres in length.

The parade will take place on September 12 at 5pm in the Old Port of Cannes.
