The salt of cruising
While some may say that they only feel good at sea, every sailor has dreamed of a welcoming bay in which to drop anchor, or of a harbor and a sheltered pontoon where they can enjoy a drink at the local inn. Whether you're looking for crystal-clear water to enjoy the fine weather and a swim in, or a port town with its heritage, shipyard and amenities, the port of call is the salt that makes a yachtsman's life more pleasant and enjoyable. So, like a chef in search of new spices, we're always on the lookout for new flavors, like the ones we've presented to you over the last few days they smell of olive oil and pasta, like the bay of La Spezia wherever they have more the bitterness of a beer and the fat of a Scilly fish and chips !
As always, before you sit down to eat, you'll enjoy your meal more if the table has been set properly. An anchorage can't be improvised. Also this week a few keys to success, by anticipating it with a well-prepared boat and crew . The feast will be all the better for having carefully studied menu and port list before sitting down to dinner!
Feeding the dream
And if the time hasn't yet come to cast off this year, we'll keep our appetites whetted by dreaming about the menu. We all know that the dream of the stopover is also the driving force behind the long crossing. And we'll keep the taste for the sea alive with some shore visits to coastal maritime museums or during port celebrations.
This summer, there's just one motto: devour life on land and at sea!
