Salon International du Multicoque: New boats and new events to discover

From April 3 to 7, 2024, La Grande-Motte will once again host the International Multihull Show. What will you discover? New boats, both sailing catamarans and motor multihulls, new brands and new events... We explain.

The meeting place for multihull specialists

Over the course of its 15 editions, the International Multihull Show has established itself as the must-attend event for 2- and 3-hull sailing enthusiasts. From April 3 to 7, 2024, La Grande Motte, a few kilometers from Montpellier on the French Mediterranean coast, will once again bring this community together around catamarans and trimarans afloat, but also a village of exhibitors ashore and entertainment, with an international visitor base.

Some new boats and new exhibitors

While the official list of new boats provided by the organizers may seem meagre, with 2 European premieres and 2 world premieres, loyal visitors will also have the opportunity to discover new brands and their ranges, such as Aquila Catamarans, exhibiting its 32- and 42-foot models.

2 world premieres

New Windelo 54

Already tested in our columns, the New Windelo 54 is exhibited for the first time at a boat show. The new version of this 54-foot catamaran confirms Windelo's commitment to innovation, combining electric propulsion, innovative interior and exterior layout, a forward helm station and the use of basalt for a more eco-responsible construction. Aventura 37 Day Charter

At the Grande Motte boat show, Tunisian builder Aventura Yachts presents a Day Charter version of its 37-foot catamaran. While the the classic yachting version, launched in 2021, and tested in our Winch show with its cabin and habitability, the multihull, designed for day trips, swaps the coachroof for a large external cockpit protected by a large hard-top.

2 European premieres

Nautitech 48 Open

Following on from the success of its Open range catamarans, the Charente-based manufacturer presents its new flagship model at La Grande Motte. The Nautitech 48 Open takes up the codes of the range and of the 40 Open and 44 Open, with increased standards of comfort, as well as size! Once again designed by Marc Lombard, it is in line with the shipyard's new positioning.

GP70

Built mainly in carbon sandwich at Trimarine in Portugal, this imposing 70-foot catamaran is by VPLP. A catamaran with ambitions to lengthen its stride for long crossings.

Demonstration areas and a space for annexes

New products will also be on show. For the first time, a demonstration area will be set up for small boats and innovative products. Alternative propulsion systems will be tested. Innovations will also be seen on the dinghy side, with the Catcha 320 catamaran dinghy from Catcha Marine.
