Owner's cabin of the Absolute 50 Fly

The Absolute 50 Fly has just been named European Powerboat of the Year 2017 in the category of boats over 45 feet. Discover in pictures this new model of 15.20 m, particularly spacious and cleverly equipped to live on the water.

Absolute Yachts' Flybridge range has nine models, from the 40 Fly (12.05 m) to the 72 Fly (21.60 m). The most recent one (presented in France at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2016) is the Absolute 50 Fly a 15.20m flybridge launch, which has just won the title of best European motor boat of the year 2017 in the over 45-foot category. The flybridge range is characterised by comfortable boats with optimised space distribution. The design is dynamic and light in the centre of the boat, with large windows and very important hull portholes. In short, there is all the space and comfort on board for long distance cruising.

As with the rest of the range, there are many comfortable areas on board, starting on the foredeck with a large sundeck and a bench facing the sea. The space is protected by high handrails, which also frame the entire deck.

In the cockpit, too, there is another large sunbathing area, in line with the submersible bathing platform. From the latter, you can use the barbecue installed under the rear part of the sundeck. There is also the skipper's cabin with the entrance on the port side.

The cockpit, closed by a wicket door and accessed by two steps on the starboard side, houses a large bench seat with table.

In the wheelhouse, the main deck is rather spacious, with very distinct spaces and, above all, very bright, thanks to the glazing, which frames almost the entire superstructure. Sliding windows and doors further partition the space, especially between the galley and saloon. The interior space is elegant, with almost no steps or height differences.

One enters the fully equipped galley and then into the saloon, raised by one step, which houses a saloon on the port side and the cockpit on the starboard side, with two pilot and co-pilot seats. A sliding side door on the starboard side allows you to exit directly onto the foredeck. Thanks to the large windscreen, the pilot has a clear view of the bow.

Below deck, we can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. The bow houses a double cabin with its own bathroom, while the owner's cabin is a walk-through cabin with dressing room and bathroom with separate shower. The large hull portholes provide plenty of light. Finally, a cabin with twin beds completes the layout of the lower deck.

Back in the cockpit, the flybridge (which also covers the cockpit) is easily accessible from a staircase. Here there are three areas with the saloon and bar (sink, barbecue, fridge and freezer) at the stern, the steering position on the starboard side and the huge bathing platform at the bow, protected by a windscreen. As an option, the Aboslute 50 Fly can be fitted with a rigid bimini to protect the fly.

In terms of engines, the Absolute 50 Fly is equipped with two Volvo IPS600 435 horsepower (diesel) engines, which give it a cruising speed of 23 knots and a top speed of around 30 knots. In terms of consumption, the yard announces 6.20 l/miles, i.e. 142.6 l/hour. Its tanks - 1600 l for fuel and 450 l for fresh water - make it possible to envisage an extended cruise.
