Bavaria E34 in fly version, to be discovered in June 2017

After the Bavaria E40, a trawler with a displacement hull, designed for both sea and river, the German shipyard announces a new model. The E34 will be the same model as its big brother, whose innovative interior design has delighted yachtsmen, but with 2 m less.

Bavaria presented its new trawler in September 2016 - the E40 - whose innovative layout - raised helm station at the rear of the saloon - is reminiscent of Nordic or river cruising boats. Spacious, innovative, hybrid propulsion are the features that quickly made the success of this novelty. The E40 won the European Powerboat of the Year 2017 award at the opening of the Düsseldorf Boot.

The German shipyard intends to build on the success of this typical river cruiser by announcing a new, smaller model. The E34 (10.30 m) will be the little brother of the E40 (12.29 m) and will offer two real double cabins, two bathrooms and a large saloon with a 360° panoramic view. It is moreover this very large uninterrupted glazing that creates a feeling of great space thanks to the luminosity.

Like its big brother, the E34 will have a steering station installed at the stern, in the centre of the boat and in an elevated position. This arrangement allows both an unobstructed view of the outside, but also the opportunity to be with family and friends while sailing. As on the largest model of this new range, there is a fully equipped galley on the port side, and a saloon on the port side for dining. Both cabins will be generous and have their own bathroom. Owners can choose between a separate shower or extra storage space in the bow.

At the stern, the large cockpit is equipped with a full L-shaped bench seat in the sedan version and a shortened L-shaped bench seat in the fly version, to accommodate the staircase. The cockpit closes completely to secure the space, while steps on each side allow access to the folding bathing platform. Finally, for relaxation, the foredeck accommodates a large sundeck.

The Bavaria E40 will be offered in two versions: fly or sedan (river cruiser). In the fly version, there is a second helm station protected by a windscreen and a large bench seat with table.

The Bavaria E34 will be equipped with Volvo Penta 60, 110 or 220 HP engines depending on its location (river, canals, sea) and navigation programme. The launch will also be available with the diesel-electric hybrid option.

Before discovering it at the Bavaria Open Days in June, Boot visitors were able to explore this new model with virtual reality goggles.
