For the past two years, Wellcraft has been a brand in rebirth, with new boats totally redesigned. At the Nautic, the American brand presents for the first time in Europe the 262 Fisherman. It will be joined by the 302 Fisherman, which has just been presented in the United States at the beginning of 2017 in Europe. These two largest models are typically designed for sport fishing and open sea sailing.
The 262 Fisherman is a center console boat that is particularly well equipped for fishing and with many stylistic elements. Access to the boat is via a starboard gate. The self-draining cockpit is spacious and equipped with a folding bench seat at the stern.
You'll find all the equipment you need for fishing such as livewells, a cutting board, a sink, numerous storage compartments, rod holders mounted on the gunwale, or installed on the t-top of the center console or on the pilot's seat.
Under the cockpit seat is a large trunk. In the cockpit, a bathing gate on the port side (optional) allows easy access on board, as well as fishing parties to haul in catches or even swimming.
The centre console is protected by a fibreglass t-top and has a luxurious tilting cockpit, a fish pan with drain and allows seawater wash down. The cockpit has stainless steel switches and a comfortable pilot and co-pilot seat.
In the console, at the front, there are toilets with a nice height. Finally, the front of the boat is occupied by a U-shaped seating area with a bench seat and two side loungers with backrests. A removable cooler moves along the entire length of the forward cockpit thanks to two rails and allows to create either a sunbathing area coupled to the bench seat or an additional seat, attached to the console. A table can be installed to create a dining area.
Inside the boat, on the gunwales and the top of the bulwark, there are foam appliques that bring even more comfort on board and give the boat a design touch.
The 262 Fisherman is available with several outboard engines and a maximum power output of 500 HP (2x250 HP). In its standard version, it is available in 7 different colours and in 3 different colours in the Scarab Offshore version.
