New, redesigned British show
The 2025 edition of the Southampton International Boat Show marks a turning point in the European boating calendar. With a new entrance on Mayflower Park and a new layout, the show aims to streamline the visitor experience and enrich it according to each visitor's interests. The new layout is accompanied by the creation of dedicated zones and new demonstration areas.
In 2024, the Southampton International Boat Show was held from September 13 to 22 at Mayflower Park, Southampton, marking the 55th edition of this major UK boating event. The 2024 edition attracted over 100,000 visitors and showcased more than 650 boats, including 350 afloat in the specially converted marina. The show introduced a new marina layout, grouping boats by type to make navigation easier for visitors. Themed zones such as the Watersports Zone, the Dinghy Zone, the Classic & Day Boat Zone and "The Shipyard" were set up to offer targeted experiences for boating enthusiasts.
Themed zones to better target audiences
For 2025, the introduction of The Powerhub an area reserved for motorboat enthusiasts, as well as the Angler's Alley for leisure fishing enthusiasts, shows a desire to structure the visit according to the practices involved. These areas enable exhibitors to showcase their products in a contextualized way, and facilitate exchanges with a qualified public. For novices, the Boating Academy will feature presentations by professionals on training and safety topics.

An ephemeral marina designed for demonstration purposes
The ephemeral port, one of the highlights of the show, is back again this year, with a segmented approach: boats are grouped by type, making the visit more intuitive. Sea trials will be offered, enabling future buyers to validate their choices in real-life conditions. The range of boats on offer includes houseboats, day-boats and motorboats, as well as accessible craft thanks to the association Wetwheels which provides supervised outings for people with disabilities.
Infrastructure: from comfort to entertainment
Visit Waterside Lounge accessible to premium ticket holders, will feature a relaxation area with a direct view of the marina. At the same time, the program of jet ski and dynamic water sports events will be centralized on the On The Water Stage a promise of spectacular moments. These features are designed to appeal to a wider audience, including families and occasional visitors.

The Shipyard: a cross between trade show and festival
Atmosphere, The Shipyard will offer a full range of catering services, live music and a family entertainment program. This place of relaxation aims to extend the duration of a visit while creating an environment conducive to discovery and conviviality. The emphasis is on multiple uses and the inclusion of a public not necessarily drawn from traditional yachting.
