Practical guide to the Paris 2016 Boat Show

Paris Nautic

The 56th edition of the Nautic, the Paris Boat Show, will open its doors from 3 to 11 December 2016 at the Porte de Versailles. Here is everything you need to know to prepare your boat show.

The Nautic de Paris will open its doors from 3 to 11 December and will bring together the entire nautical sector in the capital: sailing, motorboats, motorists, board sports, equipment manufacturers, rental companies, insurers, organisations, etc. Nearly 800 exhibitors will be gathered at Porte de Versailles for this 56th edition marked by two major changes: date and organization of the halls .

Two important changes

The show, which used to be open to professionals and VIPs on Fridays, will now be held over 9 days, from Saturday to the following Sunday, with a single night on Friday 9 December.

The halls have been further reorganized to make it easier to move around the exhibition. The motor boats will all be grouped together in 4 exhibition halls: halls 2.2, 2.3, 3 and 4.

Animations every day

The Paris Boat Show will also be the place for all kinds of entertainment, for young and old alike. On the programme, conferences, competitions, autographs, product presentations, screenings and award ceremonies.

At the exhibitions, find the Association Éric Tabarly around Pen Duick, celebrate the 120 years of Zodiac by discovering their iconic model from the '70s Finally, discover Gitana, an ocean racing team, which celebrates its 140th anniversary in 2016.

Among the events, the Seine will welcome 600 participants for the Nautic SUP Paris Crossing, the first urban fishing competition will be organized through the Nautic Street Fishing . On the board sport side, 2 wakeboard events will be organized by the French Water Ski and Wakeboard Federation.

Find your way around the exhibition halls

Hall 1 : Sailing, Tourism & Gliding

The whole world of sailing, snow sports and tourism will be grouped together in Hall 1, the main and largest hall of the show. Here you will find the latest news from shipyards such as Jeanneau, Beneteau, Wauquiez, Dufour Yachts and Foutaine Pajot. Cruising yachts, dayboats and racing yachts will be exhibited.

The Scène Nautic will be the place to discover nautical events (races, crews...) or conferences.

The Spot Nautic will be the place to be to learn about water sports (stand Up Paddle, canoeing, wakeboarding, optimist, windsurfing) thanks to the large pool of 500 m2. It is on this same pool that the 2nd round of the Nautic SUP Paris Crossing, the biggest SUP race in the world, will be held.

Finally, you will find in this hall the specialised press and maritime bookshops, insurers and credit organisations, as well as ports and marinas, river tourism organisations, boat hire agencies and coastal departments and regions.

Hall 2.1: Equipment

Hall 2.1 brings together all the equipment to equip your boat: fittings, sailmakers, electronics, paints, energy, paint and varnish, crafts and decoration. The Shopping Gallery will group together branded clothing and accessories.

Hall 2.2, 2.3, 3 & 4: Motorboats, Motorists and Fishing

This year, all the engine universes will be grouped together in 4 halls where we will find the semi-rigid, rigid hulls, engine manufacturers, VNMs and trailers. As for sailing, all practices will be represented: cruising, open hulls, launches, fishing, wakeboarding, jet-skiing and toys. More than 380 boats will be presented on 40,000 m2 of exhibition space.

  • Halls 2.2 and 2.3: engine manufacturers
  • Hall 3 and 4: Motorboats

In 2016, the novelty will be the arrival of a Fishing sector in hall 3 with a course and animations. Finally, in the hall, a "seaside" themed area with a beach bar will bring together the biggest brands of wakeboard, wakesurfing and water-skiing boats.

Exhibition Bridge: Fashion & Leisure

The footbridge linking Hall 1 to Hall 2 will host clothing, insurance, boat schools and boat shows.
