D-10 for the 2016 Paris Nautic, traffic jams in Paris!

The first large units of the Paris Boat Show arrived in the capital on the night of 23 to 24 November 2016. The Nautic will open its doors from December 3 to 11.

As every year, Hall 3 provides visitors with a diving pool 6 m long, 4.60 m wide and 1.80 m deep. Diving suits, tanks and regulators as well as fins are provided free of charge. Experienced instructors are on hand to give advice and tips. the boats of the Nautic began their journey through the streets of Paris to reach the Salon de la Porte de Versailles, which will begin on December 3, 2016. The convoy was made at night through the illuminated streets.

This year, the exceptional convoys carrying the tallest boats (those who cannot pass under the bridges of the ring road) chose to pass through Paris intramuros and follow an emblematic route through Avenue Georges V, the Champs Élysées, the Place de l'Étoile and the Avenue de la Grande Armée. For larger boats, passage through the ring road was preferred.

The heavy goods vehicles first found themselves at the Champarts crossroads in Massy-Palaiseau, since most of the convoys arrived from the south or west. The trucks then passed through the city walls, crossed Paris to the Alma Bridge, Avenue Georges V, the top of the Champs Élysées or Avenue Marceau, Place de l'Étoile and Avenue de la Grande Armée before being able to descend via the outer boulevards to the Porte de Versailles.

Pen Duick V, several monohulls and one of the catamarans have covered several kilometres, escorted by the police prefecture, in an exceptional convoy.

"The arrival of boats is important, because it marks the launch of the Paris Motor Show." explained Alain Pichavant, who was present to welcome the first arrivals in Hall 1.
