The Transat Jacques Vabre is a two-handed sailing race. It starts from Le Havre to Brazil at Itaja
Starting in November, the beginning of the course is often subject to depressions that are difficult to negotiate. Then comes the crossing of the Doldrums. Before a finish along the Brazilian coast

Competitors are classified into 4 categories: Ultim (giant trimarans), Imoca (60-foot monohull), Multi 50 (50-foot trimarans) and Class 40 (40-foot monohull).
