SVR-Lazartigue trimaran sets sail for the Jules Verne Trophy
At 7:30 this morning, the SVR-Lazartigue trimaran cast off from MerConcept in Concarneau in a bid to beat the Jules Verne Trophy record. After several attempts and another stand-by, a favorable weather window in the North Atlantic offers an ideal opportunity to cross the Equator in less than 5 days and hope for a good trajectory to the Cape of Good Hope.
For François Gabart and his crew, this 5th attempt could be the right one: "The history of the Jules Verne Trophy shows that it's always complicated. It's never just 'I try, I go, I succeed'. Next milestones: Ecuador, then Bonne Espérance. To be continued!

A documentary season to relive Charles Caudrelier's exploit
One year after his historic victory in the Arkea Ultim Challenge âeuros Brest, Charles Caudrelier and the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild relive their exploit in season 3 of "Flying Offshore", the Gitana Team documentary series. This latest season retraces the 50-day race, the technical challenges and the key moments of this world premiere: a solo circumnavigation of the globe on a flying multihull.
The sale of Gitana 17 to Team Actual marks the end of a chapter for the Gitana Team, while Gitana 18, her successor, is already under construction. A new page is being written for the team, still focused on innovation and performance.
K-Challenge sets up in Lorient, a maritime innovation hub
K-Challenge begins a new chapter with Lorient Agglomération a leading centre for competitive sailing and maritime innovation. This large-scale move, orchestrated in seven exceptional convoys, includes the transfer of its racing fleet, a foiling hydrogen boat, 45 containers of equipment, as well as high-performance simulators.

Record participation for the 98th Bacardi Cup and the Bacardi Invitational Regatta 2025
From March 2 to 8, 2025, Miami will host a historic edition of the Bacardi Cup and Bacardi Invitational Regatta (BCIR), with over 210 entries representing 26 nations. This record participation confirms the worldwide appeal of these iconic regattas held on Biscayne Bay.
The Bacardi Cup, reserved for the Star Class, kicks off on March 3 with some 70 crews in the running, including reigning champions Mateusz Kusznierewicz and Bruno Prada, who face fierce competition. The BCIR, from March 6 to 8, will feature the J/70, Melges 24, Snipe, Viper 640 and VX One classes, for an intense nine-race battle.
Beyond the competition, the event celebrates community and nautical tradition, with a convivial atmosphere supported by Bacardi's legendary hospitality and a vibrant social program in Miami.

Corsair renews partnership with Transat Café L'Or Le Havre Normandie
Corsair remains the Official Air Carrier for the 17th edition of the Transat Café L'Or Le Havre Normandie, which starts on October 26, 2025. For the second time, Corsair will accompany the organization and teams to Fort-de-France, where the arrivals are scheduled for early November.
Committed to an environmental approach, the Transat Café L'Or shares the values of Corsair, which recently modernized its fleet with 9 Airbus A330neo aircraft, reducing its fuel consumption and CO? emissions by 25%. Present in the race villages, the company will also honor Martinique, the event's finishing land.
Maître CoQ terminates IMOCA sailing partnership
After 30 years of commitment to sailing, Maître CoQ announces the end of its partnership with the IMOCA program, preferring to redirect its communications investments. The Vendée-based brand, which has accompanied such renowned skippers as Jean-Luc Van Den Heede, Jérémie Beyou and Yannick Bestaven, made history with a memorable victory in the 2020-2021 Vendée Globe.
Maître CoQ will continue to financially support Yannick Bestaven and his YB Sailing team until the end of 2025, accompanying him in the Ocean Race and his project to pass on the Vendée Globe 2028. For the skipper from La Rochelle, this transition represents a new challenge, with the ambition of finding new partners to continue the adventure.

Tschüss 2 wins RORC Caribbean 600 2025
The Volvo 70 Tschüss 2 (USA), owned by Christian Zugel and co-skippered by Johnny Mordaunt, won the RORC Caribbean 600 2025. The yacht completed the race in 1 day, 21 hours, 31 minutes and 15 seconds. Despite the fact that almost half the boats were still in the race, none could surpass Tschüss 2's corrected time according to the IRC system. This victory adds to the crew's previous successes, including the Roschier Baltic Sea Race and the RORC Transatlantic Race. Christian Zugel, a member of RORC and the New York Yacht Club, expressed his satisfaction at the intense competition, highlighting the presence of top competitors such as Leopard, Pyewacket and Lucky. Co-skipper Johnny Mordaunt dedicated the victory to his mother, Patsy, and emphasized the importance of team spirit in this achievement.

The McIntyre Mini Globe Race 2025 is launched!
On February 23, 2025, 15 solo sailors of 8 nationalities set sail from Antigua for the McIntyre Mini Globe Race . Aboard yachts measuring just 5.8 meters, they embark on an unprecedented 13-month solo round-the-world voyage. First stop: Panama, before a 24,000-nautical-mile journey back to Antigua.
Initiated by Don McIntyre, this race defies the standards of deep-sea sailing: no big budgets, no advanced technology, but an intense human adventure where passion and perseverance are the watchwords.

Registration opens for the Tour du Finistère à la voile 2025
Registration for the 39th edition of the Tour du Finistère à la Voile has been open since February 22 on the Comité Départemental de Voile du Finistère website. This emblematic regatta, to be held from July 28 to August 2, 2025, will welcome up to 100 boats and over 500 participants for a course from the English Channel to the Atlantic, combining competition and conviviality. The start will be in Morlaix, with stopovers in Aber Ildut, Douarnenez, Plobannalec-Lesconil, and a finish in Port-La-Forêt.
