Mastless catamaran: the Aventura 37 Trawler adapts the Aventura 35 to motor cruising

A mastless version of the Aventura 35, the new Aventura 37 Trawler features a reinforced engine, a longer hull and a hull optimized for the higher engine. Designed for economical coastal cruising, it offers up to four cabins and a stable cruising speed of between 8 and 12 knots.

With the Aventura 37 Trawler, the shipyard offers a new interpretation of the motor catamaran: a mastless version derived directly from the Aventura 35 sailboat model. The aim is clear: to offer a comfortable, slow-moving unit with a larger engine for simplified, economical cruising.

Revamped motorization for use without sails

The transition from sailboat to trawler requires a structural evolution. The Aventura 37 Trawler retains the sail drives, but replaces the original engine blocks (2 x 30 hp) with 2 x 57, 80 or 110 hp versions, all from the same engine block. These power ratings offer cruising speeds of between 8 and 12 knots, for economical use at low revs. This range of engines is designed for coastal cruising at a steady pace, with excellent fuel efficiency.

Modification of hulls and lengthening of skirts

To support this new motorization, the aft 1/4 of the floats have been modified, in particular the skirts, which have been extended by 60 centimetres, bringing the overall length of the boat to around 11.30 meters. This extension improves trim, longitudinal stability and engine thrust. The fins will also be reduced (no need for an anti-drift plane), but will not disappear to allow the boat to be beached without risk.

Interior fittings identical to sail version

The shipyard has retained the layout of the Aventura 35: the configurations offered range from three to four cabins as standard on the trawler. This modularity means that up to eight people can be accommodated on board, for cruising with family or friends.

Interior volumes remain generous for this size. A future version with a rigid front deck is also announced, replacing the current trampoline which will still be present on the first model ordered.

A hull redesigned for slow travel

The hull benefits from discreet but effective modifications to adapt glide to moderate speeds. The aim is to stay within an economical speed range: the catamaran is not designed to glide, but to maintain a constant speed with reduced fuel consumption, based on controlled displacement.

The absence of a mast reduces air draught, an important factor when passing under bridges, particularly in river or coastal navigation in areas with vertical constraints.

Price positioning and scheduled deliveries

The price remains equivalent to that of the Aventura 35 voile. Removal of the rigging allows investment in the more powerful motorization. The advertised price for the basic version is 293,500 euros excluding tax. The first units should be delivered before summer 2025, according to the shipyard.
