A strategic alliance between Fountaine Pajot and Couach

Fountaine Pajot, a major player in multihulls, and Couach, a specialist in military launches and custom yachts, combine their expertise to create a brand specifically for motor catamarans. This collaboration is not new: since 2022, Couach has already been responsible for the production of Fountaine Pajot's MY models. With Veya Yachts, the two shipyards intend to offer units suitable for cruising, while positioning themselves against competitors such as Prestige and Catana.
The Veya 53: a functional, top-of-the-range catamaran

Designed by Berret Racoupeau Yachts Design, the Veya 53 features an elegant, space-optimized design. This catamaran, 16.40 m long and 7.76 m wide, features modular interior layouts, with a choice of three or four cabins. The foredeck and cockpit offer spacious relaxation areas, while the flybridge features bench seating and an interior helm station inspired by motoryachts.
Engines and offshore performance

The Veya 53 will be available with two engine options:
With a fuel capacity of 1,000 liters (extendable to 1,400 liters as an option), this catamaran is designed for both coastal and offshore cruising. Its 1.17 m draught allows access to shallow anchorages.
Positioning against structured competition

With the creation of Veya Yachts, Fountaine Pajot and Couach are positioning themselves in a fast-growing segment, where Prestige (Groupe Bénéteau) and Catana (with YOT Power Catamarans) have already proved their worth. This strategy enables Fountaine Pajot to separate its sail and power models, while Couach leverages its expertise in high-end boatbuilding.
A promising future for Veya Yachts
The Veya 53 is the forerunner of a range that is set to expand in the years to come. With a first model expected in 2026, Veya Yachts aims to offer a refined, high-performance alternative to power catamaran enthusiasts. It remains to be seen how the market will react to this new brand in an increasingly competitive sector.
