ORC 52.2: the catamaran for fast cruising

With its new model, the ORC 52.2, the Lorient-based French shipyard offers a catamaran that combines sleek design, marine performance and ease of use. Designed for yachtsmen seeking efficiency and comfort, this model will be officially unveiled in 2026 at the Salon International du Multicoque in La Grande-Motte.

A catamaran designed for performance and reliability

The ORC 52.2 follows in the long tradition of the ORC (Ocean Rider Catamarans) shipyard, renowned for its fast cruising catamarans. True to its philosophy, the company focuses on simplicity, a guarantee of lightness and efficiency. This 52-foot (approx. 16-metre) model promises rapid acceleration and high speeds, thanks to a design optimized by Christophe Barreau, a recognized specialist in high-performance marine lines.

The emphasis is also on safety during navigation. Cockpit ergonomics have been designed to facilitate maneuvering, even in difficult conditions. Seasoned sailors will appreciate this functional approach, which meets the expectations of experienced cruisers.

A hull optimized for exceptional glide

The lines of the ORC 52.2 reflect an in-depth search for hydrodynamics. The stern skirts, emblematic of Christophe Barreau's designs, not only offer a neat aesthetic but also improve access to the sea and the boat's stability.

These technical choices enable the catamaran to maintain optimum glide, even when fully loaded. This design combines sailing efficiency and user comfort, a major advantage for long-distance cruising.

Interior design by Franck Darnet Design

On board the ORC 52.2, the interior design was entrusted to Franck Darnet, whose reputation is well established. The living spaces are distinguished by their elegance and practicality. The layout favors a refined, luminous universe, ideal for long cruises. Every detail is designed to offer lasting comfort, while remaining true to the shipyard's minimalist philosophy.

The interior layout allows for a smooth flow of traffic, and the carefully selected materials used guarantee sturdiness and durability. Owners will benefit from a welcoming and functional environment, whether underway or at anchor.

The ORC 52.2 will be available in summer 2026 at a base price of ?1,100,000 excluding VAT.
