Resolutely positioned in the premium segment, this small boat is classically elegant and incorporates the latest technologies in motor boating.
The bow-rider segment boasts a number of serious competitors, including Sea Ray, Regal, Cobalt and Chaparral, and the list goes on. In terms of performance, equipment and finish, the Four Winns is a direct competitor to Sea Ray and Regal.
A significant cost premium for electrics
What really makes the difference is its propulsion system. It's the only boat in its category to be offered with a Vision Marine electric outboard motor. For some, this may still seem a little premature, but it makes sense and, above all, works rather well.
It's a strong point, but it can also become a weak point, as the electric motor means a much higher price than its competitors. The Four Winns H2e is priced at around $190,000, while a Sea Ray 190 SPX is under $70,000 and a Regal LX2 under $90,000.
A boat available in several versions
On the plus side, the Four Winns comes fully equipped, but that still makes a big difference. A price that is entirely justified in view of the installed electrical system and battery bank. However, to pay such a price, the new owner will have to be really convinced of the benefits of electric motorization.
For those seduced by the boat, the version with a combustion outboard motor is priced at around $85,000, while the inboard model comes in at around $95,000. Last but not least, a Surf version is also available, with special equipment.
