Behind him, Loïs Berrehar won the last leg, but finished second overall. In the rookie rankings, Arno Biston (Tizh Mor) took first place after an intense finale. Here's a look back at the key performances and rankings.

Tom Dolan, overall winner

The epilogue to the 55th edition of the Solitaire du Figaro Paprec is now known. At the end of a relatively Dantesque third and final leg, Irishman Tom Dolan, skipper of Smurfit Kappa âeuros Kingspan for its 7 e dolan became the third foreigner to add his name to the list of winners since the event's creation in 1970, after Belgium's Joan de Kat in 1970 and Switzerland's Laurent Bourgnon in 1988. Dolan dominated this edition, thanks in part to his mastery of the difficult weather conditions, particularly between Royan and La Turballe. With a time of 3 days 15 hours 18 minutes and 10 seconds, he beat his main rivals Loïs Berrehar and Gaston Morvan. This historic victory makes him the first Irishman to win this legendary race, after years of effort and sacrifice.

It's quite an achievement for me. When I came to France twelve years ago, I dreamed of being a préparateur on the Figaro circuit. To sail these boats and do this regatta. Now, to win this event, I still find hard to realize, " declared the 37-year-old skipper, once he'd swallowed his first sip of beer.

Loïs Berrehar, master of the last stage but second overall

Loïs Berrehar ( Skipper Macif 2022 ) shone on the third and final leg from Royan to La Turballe, crossing the finish line in the lead after 3 days 14 hours 7 minutes and 24 seconds of racing. However, the deficit accumulated at the start in Gijón was too great to catch Dolan. Berrehar thus finished second overall, a result that testifies to his consistency and fighting spirit throughout this edition.

It's one of the few Figaro stages I do, where you don't stop and you can use speed and strategy all the way. I'm just too happy to win it. And Basile was huge too. I'm too happy to share it with him. He deserved to win it just as much as I did. It was super close. We were laughing about it yesterday at the VHF. We pulled out all the stops, and frankly, it's a real pleasure! It's an achievement, a lot of time and hard work for moments that are rare. I really wanted to win one this year, and I've won two. I don't know what it's going to mean for the overall, but I did the job. It was nice, we saw the guys who had good control and they were guys from Port-la-Forêt, so that's cool. I pulled out all the stops on all three stages, so I won't have any regrets

Gaston Morvan, a well-deserved third place

Gaston Morvan, aboard Brittany Region - CMB Performance finished third overall. Despite a well-controlled race and a gap of just 57 minutes with Dolan at the end of the second leg, he was unable to close the gap on the Irishman. Nevertheless, third place remains an excellent result for the skipper, who maintained a high level of performance throughout the three legs.

Arno Biston, winner in the rookie class

Among the newcomers, Arno Biston ( Tizh Mor ) distinguished himself on this final stage. Thanks to a fine performance, he beat Tom Goron ( NAVALEO ), who had previously led the newcomers' classification. "It was a stage full of twists and turns," comments Biston, satisfied with his start to the stage and a finish that enabled him to win this ranking. His performance demonstrates his great potential for future solo competitions.

Tom Goron, a promising second place in the rookie class

The youngest competitor in this edition, Tom Goron (18), finished second in the rookie ranking and 14th overall. Aboard NAVALEO he showed maturity and race management in spite of sometimes extreme conditions, with peak speeds of up to 24 knots. His ability to hold his own against more experienced sailors augurs well for the future of ocean racing.

Quentin Vlamynck, 3rd in the rookie category

Quentin Vlamynck, skipper of the Shooting Stars completes the rookie podium with a 3rd place finish and 15th overall. Despite a difficult start under gennaker, he remained competitive throughout this final leg, taking advantage of every opportunity to move up the rankings. His solid performance suggests he has good prospects for the future.
