Test / Quicksilver 805 Open: a family sailing program with great versatility

The successor to the 755 Activ, the Quicksilver 805 Open is designed for the same program as its predecessor, i.e. family use and a wide range of activities.

New from scratch

The Quicksilver Boats shipyard started from scratch to design the successor to the Quicksilver 755, which was launched in 2015 and manufactured in around 100 units. Deck layout and hull have been completely redesigned for this hull, which is actually 6.99 m long. But with a beam of 2.55 m, the Quicksilver 805 Open benefits from a lot of volume, which has been judiciously exploited.

The Quicksilver 805 Open has a more modern silhouette than the 755, with taut, well-balanced lines. Its imposing freeboard is well integrated, adding a touch of sportiness to this new model designed for a versatile family program. Between sport fishing, towed sports and anchoring pleasures, the Quicksilver 805 Open tries to tick as many boxes as possible and conform to the growing demand for nautical SUVs.

Flagship of the Open range

The largest boat in the Open range is only available in an outboard version, with engines ranging from 175 to 300 hp. As Quicksiver Boats is part of the Brunswick group, which also owns Mercury, only models from the American engine manufacturer will be offered on the Quicksilver 805 Open.

Like other Group brands such as Bayliner and Uttern, the Quicksilver 805 is manufactured at the Vila Nova Cerveira plant in Portugal.

A configurator to customize your boat

The Quicksilver online configurator allows you to configure and adapt your boat to your desires and schedule. The tool is very practical, allowing you to choose your engine, packages and options. Each modification instantly updates the price of the package, and allows the future owner to take the time to design his ideal boat.
