Priority to life on the bridge

Available in outboard or inboard version and 9.90m long, the Key Largo 34 completes a range of 4 models offered by the Italian shipyard Sessa Marine. Designed by Christian Grande, the Key Largo 34 is available in open or T-top versions. Preferred by a majority of customers, it is the latter version that we visited. In addition to the protection it provides to the crew, the T-Top fits perfectly into this pretty hull designed with curves.
An ergonomic and well thought out deck plan

Accessible via a large bathing platform, the aft cockpit is equipped with an L-shaped bench seat that can accommodate 8 guests.

The teak table can be folded to improve circulation on board when not dining. It is also telescopic, to transform the bench into a large sunbathing area.

Note that the bathing platform is closed by a small gate, which may prevent your bottle of rosé from rolling into the sea, but will not secure your passengers, children or pets.

The central island houses the leaning post for the pilot and co-pilot, as well as the kitchen. The galley is equipped with a sink and a cutting board as standard, and with a refrigerator and stove as an option.

The seat for both pilots is modular, and offers a very good driving position. The adjustable steering wheel adds extra comfort to the pilot, but it will not be enough to allow short people to have a good visibility.

The cockpit is clear and readable. All of the instruments are accessible at a glance, and the map reader fits naturally just above the steering wheel. The engine controls are easy to reach and the pilot can easily regulate the engine speed.

The foredeck, accessible through a very wide gangway, is equipped with a sundeck that can accommodate several people. The anchor locker is well sized, but lacks a compartment for storing fenders.

Facilities for the small cruise
The Key Largo 34 is equipped with two cabins, a kitchenette and an enclosed toilet.

The mid-cabin, under the aft cockpit, has two berths that can be converted into a double bed, as well as plenty of storage space.

The front point, which can be transformed into a lounge or a double berth, is reserved for children. To the left of the companionway, the long kitchen area, comparable to a "breakfast point", allows you to prepare breakfast or a quick snack.

The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, a sink and a shower. The whole is bathed in a beautiful natural light thanks to the many openings in the walls.

Pricing and performance
With two 300 horsepower Mercury blocks, the Key Largo 34 reaches speeds of 42 knots, but the pilot will have to quickly reduce speed on rough water. The Key Largo 34 offers great performance for a family program. It benefits from a very complete standard equipment, as well as a good level of finishing for its category. Equipped with its maximum power, i.e. two 300-horsepower Mercurys, it is available for 235,000 euros including tax in 2023.
