A first open launch for Wider Yachts
The Italian builder Wider Yachts produces superyachts of more than 50 meters. After the launch of a 28-meter hybrid catamaran project, the shipyard has just unveiled the visuals of an open yacht. The WiLder 60 with its 18.6 m is currently under construction and should be launched in summer 2023. It is a sporty boat, built individually in aluminum and will be able to reach speeds of 40 knots. The design is an internal development of the Centro Stile Wider.
Aluminum construction inspired by superyachts
The goal is to offer superyacht owners and enthusiasts a hybrid between a chase boat and a performance cruiser. Built using methods borrowed from superyacht construction, the WiLder 60 is the first model in a custom line with a distinctive design, angular styling and space on board. The aluminum hull will ensure the boat's seaworthy qualities, while the draft of only 1.05 m will allow for anchoring closer to the beach.
A Mediterranean star
According to the first visuals, we will find on the outside all the characteristics of these Mediterranean boats, with sunbathing in the front and in the back, a saloon to enjoy outdoor meals, a kitchen... The cockpit is protected by a large curved windscreen with a back panel extended by a rigid structural hard top.
The launch of a new brand
As the shipyard states, this launch is the birth of a new independent brand within the Wider family, with its own philosophy, identity and sailing program. As such, it will be both a luxury tender for larger boats and for owners who want to enjoy speed while piloting their own boat, as well as a cruiser for a weekend away in complete privacy.
