Test / Cheetah Adventure 690 price and options, a niche market

This is the final installment of our test of the Cheetah Adventure 690, tested with the maximum power of two outboard engines of 100 horsepower each. Let's find out together the prices and options and its positioning compared to the competition.

An uncompetitive market

The outboard catamaran market, especially the open one, is not very competitive, especially in France. Few players are present on this market, and especially on this type of unit, which is rather professional.

A rate justified by the import

The Cheetah Adventure 690 is sold at a base price of 155,000 euros (including VAT), rate 2022, with two 80 horsepower Suzuki engines. For the version of our test, equipped with two 100 horsepower engines, the standard price is 159,000 euros (VAT included). At this price, all the electronics are included. Some options are proposed by the shipyard, mainly to increase comfort on board, such as the EVA foam deck covering at 4,500 euros or the tilting bulwark at 9,999 euros. The leaning-post will nevertheless be essential to sail more comfortably, and especially to have a support. The price is 3,250 euros including tax.

Few competing models

On the competition side, few models can be compared to Cheetah Marine. Aquila Catamarans does offer two-hull outboard models, but at larger sizes, 10 m minimum, and in a comfort boating program. Also in this category are the Silver Cat catamarans, with a top-of-the-range price - 274,000 euros excluding tax for a 10-meter open catamaran.

In another style, Rider Marine produces an open catamaran of an equivalent length, the Rider C23, 6.99 m long. Again, the design is different, but the program can be similar. Bord à bord, a specialist in aluminum construction, also offers several aluminum monohulls with a similar program, but in a slightly larger size, such as the Dervinis 790 Pro, 7.90 m long, which is powered by 300 hp, a higher engine than our tested model.
