A catamaran with a fine finish
Flagship of the Marsaudon Composites range, the ORC 57 is not intended for mass production. In any case, the shipbuilder from Lorient can only produce a few units per year and therefore offers a high level of service, while adapting to customer demands.
The standard model comes with all the necessary equipment to go sailing. It comes with a Sparcraft aluminum mast, a dyneema forestay and sails from Incidence Sails. The deck equipment combines Ronstan, Harken and Karver. The stanchions and balconies are in black powder-coated stainless steel. As for the interior, the standard version has 4 cabins, with fine finishes, such as leather handles or honeycomb fargues.

The catamaran is proposed at a standard price of 2022, ready to sail, of 1 195 000 euros (excl. VAT).
Customizable options
As we have seen on the model we tried, the shipyard is flexible on the possibilities of layout. The catamaran on which we sailed had a double bathroom in the owner's hull. The owner will be able to decide with the shipyard on certain fittings and of course on elements of the deck plan, such as electric winches at the foot of the mast or storage elements in the saloon. The model we tested was around 1,500,000 euros (excluding VAT).

A coherent positioning on the market
There are few players in the top-of-the-range catamaran market, especially in lengths of less than 60 feet. Budget comparisons are therefore all the more complex to make.
On a sporty program, but with a more pronounced desire to travel, the Outremer 5X, 2 feet longer, is announced in a standard version at 1,130,000 euros (excl. tax). For the leader of the Lagoon catamaran, the Lagoon 55, with a resolutely different program but similar size, is offered at a price of 1,139,300 euros (excl. tax).

The set of options, on top-of-the-range boats, can quickly make prices evolve, but the price of the ORC 57, built in Lorient, proves to be definitely coherent in the multihull landscape, considering the performances at sea and the services at anchor.
