Presented in February 2026 at the Miami International Boat Show, the Aquila 50 Sail marks the shipyard's entry into the power cruising catamaran segment. Some 15 meters long, this multihull inaugurates a new line designed to complete a range historically centered on powercats.

A 50-foot catamaran designed with JnJ Design
The 50 Sail was developed in collaboration with JnJ Design, a long-standing partner of the shipyard. The design emphasizes volumes and circulation on board, with an architecture conceived for cruising.
A notable feature is the direct link between the flybridge and the forward cockpit via integrated staircases. This longitudinal circulation facilitates movement at sea and during maneuvers. At the bow, a fixed cockpit is fitted out as a relaxation area, with seating and sunbathing.
The exterior lines are in keeping with the manufacturer's engine-powered models, with a large deckhouse and generous glass surfaces.

Panoramic square and multiple configurations below deck
The saloon opens wide to the outside thanks to large bay windows. The kitchen, integrated into the saloon, occupies a substantial volume and is part of a deck layout with no marked partitions.
Below deck, the 50 Sail is available in four, five or six cabin configurations, distributed between the two hulls. Each cabin has independent access and a private bathroom with separate shower. The advertised headroom makes it easy to move around the hulls.

The owner's version includes a cabin with double bed, side storage and a technical area with washing machine and dryer. The layout is designed for both long-distance cruising and charter operations.

Diesel or Hybrid Ocean Drive
The 50 Sail can be fitted with conventional diesel engines or a Hybrid Ocean Drive system. This solution combines electric propulsion for low-speed phases and a diesel generator for back-up.
Electric propulsion enables port maneuvering and low-speed travel at low noise levels. The diesel system ensures long-distance autonomy and battery recharging when necessary.
Integrating this technology requires centralized energy management and a technical compartment designed to accommodate batteries and associated equipment.

An ever-expanding sail range
The 50 Sail is the first model in a series announced by the manufacturer. A 44 Sail is planned for September or October 2026, while a 65 Sail is scheduled for September or October 2027.
Aquila draws on the industrial experience of the Sino Eagle Group, builder of the Aquila portfolio, with its expertise in multihull production. The shipyard's management brings together several profiles from the world of competitive sailing and ocean cruising.

With this new line, Aquila has entered the 13 to 20-meter sailing catamaran segment, designed for blue water cruising and charter fleets.
