For those who like to sail
The Grand Pavois is one of the three major French boat shows. After a one-year hiatus, it is opening its doors again in the early fall of 2021. One of the assets of this show is the possibility to try many nautical practices, from paddle to light sailing.
Among the "boats", you will be able to try on the show, the BirdyFish , whose test we have already presented in our columns . It is a double dinghy whose objective is to democratize the flight to all, and especially to young people.
You will also have the possibility to navigate in Tiwal . This inflatable dinghy - the first of its kind to be launched - is available in several versions and allows you to enjoy the pleasure of sailing quickly and easily.
Finally, Tribord will also make available to the public its inflatable dinghy 5s a family boat accessible to most people, even to novices. Other water sports equipment from the Decathlon marine brand will also be available for testing on the beach, including paddles.
In addition to the boats, one will be able to discover (and test) several nautical toys, starting with the iQFoil (Starboard), the next windsurfing board of the Paris Olympic Games, the SUP of Tahé Outdoors, (which bought with BIC Sport) and the wingfoils of Wings on water.
And for those who prefer the motor to the sail, while avoiding thermal engines, you can discover the electric scooter Next Blue Tech (which looks more like a paddle) or the electric foil surf (Whimsitech).
Finally, on Saturday, October 2, you will be able to participate in the April Marine Paddle Jam, a 7 km round trip paddle between La Plage and the Old Port, reserved for 150 registrants (30 euros registration fee). The godmother of the event, Olivia Piana, 3 times world champion of SUP, will be there.

The foil will be in the spotlight at the Grand Pavois with three national events taking place from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd October:
- The National ETF26 (Easy To Fly), a 26-foot flying catamaran, with the presence of Billy Besson and Yvan Bourgnon, among others
- The National Autumn Windfoil 2021 - foil board - which will bring together 120 participants, including many stars: Julien Bontemps, Pierre Le Coq, Nicolas Goyard or Hélène Noesmoen but also Antoine Albeau.
- The Wingfoil 2021 Fall National - a new sport of riding a foil board with an inflatable wing held in both hands.
