At 9.80 metres in length, the Mojito 32 transposes the hull shapes popularized by ocean racing to yachting. Designed by David Raison and Pierre Delion, it has a rounded, wide, load-bearing bow. This architecture offers two major advantages: high average speeds, particularly when reaching and sailing downwind, and a gain in living space forward, which is rare for a yacht of this size. For cruisers, this means a forward cabin with dimensions worthy of a 36- to 38-foot sailing yacht.

Eco-responsible building materials
The Idbmarine shipyard, based in Concarneau, uses processes similar to those employed on its Maxi 650. The hull and deck are made from infused PET foam and cork sandwiches, laminated with flax fibers and polyester resin. This approach reduces the use of traditional PVC and fiberglass, while lowering the carbon footprint of production. Moulds are limited to the essentials (hull, deck, rudder), designed in laminated plywood, to remain compatible with controlled, artisanal production. All fittings are also digitally cut into sandwich panels, limiting material waste.

Habitability and interior ergonomics
The interior layout takes advantage of the width and volume generated by the scow bow. There's a double cabin forward (2 m x 1.60 m), an aft cabin, two single berths in the saloon and plenty of storage space. The bright saloon boasts a panoramic roof, a signature of the Mojito range. The galley features a central island with two-burner stove and sink, complemented by 200-liter water tanks. The chart table and bathroom with marine toilet, shower and waxed closet complete a layout designed for extended cruising. Several elements in exposed linen are a reminder of the shipyard's eco-construction orientation.

Pivoting keel and flat beaching
The Mojito 32 remains true to Idbmarine's DNA: a cast-iron pivoting keel, operated by an electro-hydraulic cylinder. With a variable draft from 1.00 to 2.73 m, the boat combines performance under sail with easy access to coastal anchorages. This system also allows the boat to be beached flat, thanks to optional support legs. Two arched polyester rudders, linked by a central tiller, ensure control at all points of sail. This equipment, already tried and tested on earlier models in the Mojito range, meets the expectations of sailors wishing to combine ocean cruising and shallow-water stopovers.

Programs ranging from cruises to transatlantic cruises
With a sail area of 70 m² upwind and an asymmetrical spinnaker exceeding 100 m², the Mojito 32 achieves average speeds of 13 to 14 knots in favorable conditions. Its A or B design category and interior volumes enable it to target a variety of programs: family cruising, offshore rallies or double-handed transatlantic races.

A first presentation at Grand Pavois 2025
