Annapolis Boat Show 2025: French brands consolidate their presence in the American market

The French presence at the Annapolis Boat Show 2025 confirms the growing strength of French manufacturers, equipment suppliers and start-ups in the North American market. Several major shipyards and specialist manufacturers are exhibiting their ranges, with the aim of strengthening their distribution networks, consolidating local after-sales service and adapting their offerings to US regulatory requirements.

French exhibitors are divided between the U.S. Sailboat Show and the Powerboat Show, according to their business segment. This dual presence enables them to maintain direct links with American dealers, importers and representatives of the major charter companies present on the East Coast.

Multihulls: a solid, organized French block

French shipyards dominate the catamaran segment, which is particularly dynamic on the American market.
Regular exhibitors include Fountaine Pajot, Lagoon, Excess, Nautitech, Privilège, Outremer and Windelo.
Their participation is aimed at consolidating range awareness, ensuring logistical coordination with distribution bases and reinforcing the technical training of local teams.

Discussions with American operators focus on long-term maintenance, delivery times and compliance of electrical and hydraulic installations with ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) standards.
The multihull market remains buoyant: American demand is driven by both private cruising programs and charter fleets in the Caribbean.

Monohulls: network continuity and structuring

On the monohull side, Jeanneau, Dufour, RM Yachts and Alubat are regular visitors to the Annapolis pontoons.
Their main objective is to consolidate dealer networks and coordinate the various players in the North American market â?" importers, distributors and service providers.

Exchanges cover logistics, shipping and the training of local technicians.
Smaller-scale builders, such as RM Yachts and Alubat, focus on the durability of their products and the availability of spare parts for owners based on the East Coast and West Indies.

The major groups, on the other hand, rely on their existing American structures to improve delivery and preparation times before launching.

Semi-rigids and propulsion solutions: a complementary ecosystem

French representation in Annapolis is not limited to sailing. Zodiac Nautic is taking part in the Powerboat Show, the premier showcase for RIBs on the American market. The brand is presenting several models designed for pleasure boaters and professional services. The company takes advantage of the show to meet with regional importers and marina operators, and to adjust its ranges to the engines most widely used in the United States.

In terms of lightweight innovations, Temo is exhibiting its portable electric thrusters. Its aim is to develop a network of authorized dealers and maintenance stations capable of managing batteries and spare parts locally.

The young company BirdyFish is following the same logic, presenting its hydrofoil dinghy for sailing schools and rental structures.
