Test / Pricing and alternatives Sixty 7, an attractive price/performance ratio

The Lagoon Sixty 7 catamaran offers a very good level of luxury and comfort. Thanks to an exhaustive catalogue of options, you can customize your yacht and adapt it to your tastes.

A depreciable standard rate

The basic price of the Sixty 7 is 1,976,100 euros excluding VAT. Although this is already a good investment, it is still very well placed on the market, especially in relation to the monohull yacht engines of over 90 feet with which it competes. Customers seduced by the concept of the Seventy 8, will be very happy to be able to access the space, luxury and comfort features almost similar to those of their elder, but for only two thirds of the price. These luxury units can be rented from 35,000 to 45,000 euros HT per week depending on the level of service offered. With a dozen charter weeks per year, maintenance costs can be covered and possibly a small part of the leasing.

The options of a five-star palace

As with the most beautiful yachts, too much has never been too much. The technical equipment provided as standard to support the energy supply is sized to match the deployment of comfort equipment. ONAN 13.5 Kva generator, battery bank of over 1,000 Ah, two 36l/mm water generators, two 80 l water heaters, 510 l grey and black water tank, and more for an extra charge, make it possible to power the numerous options such as 120,000 Btu air conditioning, wine cellar, coffee machine, and TV screen in each cabin, but also a hotel lifestyle a little like staying ashore. The galley can be equipped with all Miele's top-of-the-line appliances, including a 400-litre refrigerator and 200-litre freezer. And don't worry about taking showers either - a 280 l/h desalinator will replenish the 1,000 l fresh water supply daily. In the end, the boat in our trial, which included almost all the options, was billed at 2,852,744 euros excluding VAT.

What about the competition?

Even if in size, less than 70 feet, these catamarans are not yet really classified as yachts, it has to be said that the luxury services offered on many of them claim to make them play more and more in this yard. With a level of finish equal to that of a larger and more expensive monohull motor yacht, both in terms of purchase and use, the very wide structure gives the advantage. For this reason, several brands are launching projects in this niche. Ilad and Aquila have 70-foot yachts developed solely for motor propulsion. O Yacht plays the card of the very low consumption trawler with its Class 6 Power. Equipped with an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, it consumes only one litre per mile at 10 knots. In terms of respect for the environment, the Serenity 64 and the Silent-Yacht 60 rely on 100% electric power, just like the leader in the Sunreef-yacht segment, whose first model in its eco range will soon be launched in 60-foot versions. The Polish shipyard also has a 60-foot thermal engine and is undoubtedly the instigator of the most luxurious finishes with entirely customised fittings. Finally, Lagoon's great rival, Fountaine-Pajot launched this year the 67 Power, adapted for the engine from the base of the Alégria 67.
