Discovery / Nimbus T8, a small multifunctional sports dayboat

The T8 is the smallest in the T (Tender) range. With a length of 8 m, this dayboat offers a deck layout that is perfectly suited to day sailing. It even offers the possibility of extending this pleasure with its double cabin, equipped with a separate toilet.

The smallest model in the T

Nimbus Boats continues to develop its T range, launched with the T9 and then the T11, with several C (Commuter) and W (Weekender) deck layouts. The Nimbus T8 is a sporty 8.16m dayboat that follows the concept of the larger models, with the only difference being that it will only be offered as an outboard, as its length does not allow for inboard motorisation. It will also be declined in switched version (C8) not in weekender version, once again, its length does not lend itself to it.

This model, previously built in Poland, benefits from the Scandinavian construction quality of the group's other brands. This means that since the takeover of Flipper and Bella Boats, Nimbus is taking advantage of their production plant based in Finland. We find the famous double-step hull, characteristic of the brand, which allows it to sail flat and the tapered bow to pass easily through the waves. But also this protective strip all around the hull.

A multifunction cockpit

The cockpit offers many functionalities thanks to its modular furniture. It is accessed via beautiful bathing platforms, also protected by the famous listeon, which can easily be walked around. At the stern, the removable backrest of the bench seat allows you to either sail facing the sea, facing the cockpit or to create a large sunbathing area.

To save space and move around easily on board, the cockpit table is installed on a stand positioned just behind the cockpit seats. It can be lowered to clear the way or blocked in the table position for eating. By pivoting the pilot and co-pilot seats to the rear, a saloon for 5 people is obtained. A refrigerator is located under the rear seat, installed in the front.

An ergonomic cockpit

The cockpit is spacious with a GPS screen, automatic flaps, engine control and a height-adjustable steering wheel. In a seated position, you enjoy good visibility, while being protected from the wind by the windscreen. In the standing position, on the contrary, you can take advantage of the natural ventilation.

A rigid plastic T-top protects the pilot. This new transparent concept should let the sun pass through, but the founder of the yard assures that it will not retain the heat. In any case, a canvas can be added in case of strong heat. Finally, a camping awning can be set up all around and fenced off the area for sailing even in bad weather.

A second life zone at the front

Access to the front beach is via the gangways, standing easily on the T-top structures, which act as handrails. There is a bench seat facing the sea, whose hood opens to ventilate the interior cabin. It is also possible to disembark from the bow, via the anchor locker in which the electric windlass is located.

A comfortable cabin

Inside, the T8 offers a small and pleasant cabin in a 8 m long boat. Although the headroom is not huge, you still appreciate the double berth and a large storage bin. Finally, for the greatest comfort of the passengers, a toilet with sink and w.c. is installed on the starboard side. It's a bit difficult to open the door when you're in the cabin, but you appreciate the effort the yard put into installing them.

A perfect dayboat

The Nimbus T8 is the smallest model in the T range (for Tender) and offers a deck layout that lends itself perfectly to day trips. Sun loungers, fridge, dining table, deck shower or bathing ladder will allow you to relax in the sun. One also appreciates its small comfortable cabin, to extend one's stay by one night. Although there are many pieces of furniture, it is easy to move around and enjoy the different living spaces. Finally, the quality of construction and finishes is noteworthy, such as the teak covering, which is included in the options catalogue, but also the choice of options, such as the ski mast, to diversify activities.

The T8 is powered by a 225-300 hp outboard motor, with a recommended output of 250 hp.
